16: Is this the End?..

Celeste's POV:

And then, the door shut. 

"So.. what next?" Monika said, she looked at me.. Anxiously. 

"I'm not sure.. But we'll figure something out.." I try to reassure her. She seemed fine with my response. I think. 

Monika looked around, fixing her shoe a bit.

"Alright.. I think right now we will pay MC a visit.." Monika says. She straightened out her jacket.

"Okay.. Are you okay? You seem anxious about something.. " I say in a worried tone.

"Yeah.. I just have a lot of stuff on my mind right now.." Monika said. She took a step forward, onto the driveway.

"How do we explain something like this to MC?" I question, walking behind Monika.

"I'm not sure.. But first things first.. We have to cut all connection to them." Monika said. We were just leaving the simulation.. Why is she making it seem like something else?.. 

I think it was for closure. For all I know these people she loved the most.. Before I came along. Who am I to question such things?

"Okay.. So MC lives somewhere near Sayori.. Correct?" I ask. Monika and I continue to walk down the sidewalk.

"Yep.. And that's somewhere near your street?" Monika asks, she then grabs put her phone.

"Mhmm." I hummed.

I heard fingers tapping on a device and some beeps here and there. Finally she had MC's location pulled up on her phone.

"Alright.. Perfect.. All we gotta do is take some rights.. and then we make it to your street." Monik says. 

She takes glances at her phone every few minutes to make sure we're going the right way.

It was very cold outside. So I was shivering the whole time, along with Monika. Even though we were both wearing the warmest things we could find around the house, it still wasn't enough. Monika looked at me and chuckled to herself.

She wrapped an arm around my shoulder, she pulled me closer to her. I couldn't help but lean into Monika's touch.

"Ahah! We're already here!" Monika said. She grabbed onto my hand and pulled me to the front door. I didn't know we were already there. Have we really been walking for this long? 

After a couple knocks and doorbell ringing someone finally answered the door.

"What?.." The person answered in a upset and groggy tone like they had just woken up.

"Oh it's you guys.. You could have just called or texted me.." It ended up being MC, of course since it was his house but.. who just sleeps all day? It was currently 6 pm. I doubt he just fell asleep.

"Hello, sorry to wake you but.. We have something important to talk about.." Monika said. She stepped inside the house. She still held onto my hand and pulled me inside.

MC quickly moved out of the way so he didn't get pushed or shoved by us zooming inside.

"Okay.. This seems serious.." MC says. He was still in pajamas with messed up hair. Me and Monika got done putting our coats on the coat rack.
