*Time skip - after lunch*
I was talking to Nick, Madi and Debby when I heard the bell ring.
"Where r you guys going" I ask.
"English" Nick says.
"Yeah same" Madi replies.
"Science" Debby says with an annoying tone.
"Well at least we're going the same way" I say to Debby.
We say bye to each other and walk our separate ways to class.
I haven't seen Matt or Chris in a while.
Me and Debby were walking to class when I saw the guy that was annoying on the bus.
"Don't look at him" I whispered.
"Don't look at who?" Debby replies in a normal voice.
"Shut up!" I say, still whispering. "That guy over there"
"Where!?"
"Oh my god Debby" I say frustrated.
Thankfully the guy didn't notice us.
We got to the science department and went to our classes.
I went over to my desk and got out my notebook, I was the first one in class.
Soon everyone got to class and the lesson started.
"Alright everyone! Listen up! Today we will be doing an experiment" my physics teacher says as everyone gets all excited.
"We will be working in pairs and doing another Bunsen burner experiment. This one we will be dropping a crystal into hot water. One person get the beaker and Bunsen. The other gets the tripod and the safety mat"
Everyone starts moving around the classroom getting into pairs while my table stays seated.
In physics we sit in groups of 4. On my left and right r two girls who are best friends and just talk the whole lesson. Sitting across from me was Matt.
Ugh this is just like music! I thought. We both don't know anyone else in physics but each other.
I just looked around and on my notebook as everyone went into different seats in the classroom. I knew Matt was doing the same.
The two girls moved to some place else which left me and Matt at the table.
I kept on looking down at my paper as Matt stood up.
He walked around the table and stopped next to me.
"Uhm hey Vic" Matt says quietly.
"Yeah" I say looking up from my notebook.
"Wanna be partners?" He asks nervously.
"Uhm yeah sure" I say standing up.
Matt got the Bunsen and filled up the beaker with water while I got the tripod and safety pat.
I put the tripod and safety pat at a work station and went over to where Matt was.
He was filing up a beaker with hot water from the kettle.
"What's taking so long" I say walking over to Matt.
"This thing is hot as fuck" he answers.
"Well no fucking shit Sherlock it's from a kettle" I said.
"Well since it was hot I burned myself so you do it" Matt says putting down the kettle frustrated.
I picked up the kettle and filled the beaker easily.
"See it's not that difficult" I say putting the kettle down.
"Yeah whatever" He says walking off.
I take the beaker and go over to our work station.
We get everything ready and my teacher started handing out crystals to everyone one by one.
When the teacher got to us she gave us a crystal to put in the hot water.
"Let me do it" Matt says.
"No way" I reply.
"You got your way last time, this is my moment"
"Fine whatever" Matt says.
I pick up the crystal with tweezers and drop it in the water.
Me and Matt watch closely as the crystal drops to the bottom and the purple colour starts spreading.
The crystal starts to move around the beaker in a square motion.
"Wow so boring." Matt says cross armed as I keep staring at the purple colours flowing.
"Ur boring" I say not taking my eyes off the beaker.
A couple minutes go by and most of the water in the beaker has turned a dark purple.
"Okay now this is getting boring" I say stepping back.
"Told you." Matt says looking at the almost black beaker.
Our teacher told us to start cleaning things up.
"You gunna clean the beaker or will you get burned again?" I say sarcastically.
"I can clean a fucking beaker" Matt replies rolling his eyes.
I put away everything while Matt cleans and puts away the beaker.
When I was done I looked for Matt and I saw him still trying to clean the beaker.
"What r u doing" I ask walking over to Matt at the sink.
"What does it look like dumbass" he replies turning from the dirty ass beaker to me.
"Well clearly not cleaning the beaker bc ur doing a shit job" I say.
He doesn't turn his head much, but looks at the beaker.
"Js lemme do it" I say pushing Matt aside.
Matt just faced me the whole time.
A couple minutes later I was done cleaning the beaker and went to put it away.
Everyone got packed up and went at the bell.
