When Sunday came I spent most of it dreading the date that Chloe had set up for me. Just because she thought he was a good looking guy didn't mean he'd be my taste. She thought Tom was good looking and I certainly didn't. I knew she'd never get off my back and I would just have to get on with it. She gave Lyle my number and he'd been texting. We agreed to meet in town at a small bar, which I had to Google where it was as my first time being in the town was for the band's gig. It also meant that I couldn't drive there, for all I knew I was gonna need a couple of drinks just to get through the date. Chloe came over to help me pick what to wear. I should have learned my lesson from the night before, everything she chose was so short and revealing. "It's a day date Chlo. I'm not going clubbing". In the end we settled on a knee length dress which was probably more of a summer vibe and was only in April.

"Do you want me to drive you?" asked Chloe she was hanging up my clothes  that she had ripped out of my closet and tossed to the side saying 'I can't possibly wear that' over and over again. "Yeah I think you'd better. That way if I go missing you know where I was last seen" she laughed but I was serious. We came down both sets of stairs, all the boys were in the living room with their music equipment out, God knows what they were doing with it tho.

"Wow! Look at you!" said Tom as soon as he saw me. He came up to me and twirled me, I was definitely blushing with embarrassment, even more when the others all joined in with him. "Okay guys stop you're gonna ruin her hair" called Chloe she peeled me away from the group as she examined her handiwork. "I didn't make her look this good just for you to mess it up" she scowled at them and they backed off into their seats and back to their music.

I caught Mac's as they all sat down. He was glancing over at like he was wanting to say something, but then subtly shook his head deciding against it. Chloe finished her touch up and grabbed her car keys.

Town was only about a 15 minute drive from our house but the bar didn't have a direct car park, so me and Chloe had to guess where the closest drop of location would be and go from there. She pulled up on the side of the road, Google maps telling me it was only a 2 minute walk from where we were. "Do you want me to walk with you??" Chloe asked. "You're parked on a double yellow. You can't" she looked out the windscreen, not even realizing that she'd parked there. "I'll be fine from here. I'll see you later". I got out of the car as she called "let me know how it goes" and then she drove off before she got caught.

I made my way to the bar, when I got there I was early but I didn't mind that. It gave me a chance to find somewhere to sit and watch to see who showed up. Only a couple of minutes had passed by when a tall man approached me. He was muscular and had short brown hair. I almost gasped at his looks praying that this was Lyle. He grinned at me showing his teeth and put his hands on one of the three chairs at my table. "Is anyone using this?" he asked. I was slightly taken back by the question, and disappointed because clearly this wasn't the guy I was supposed to be meeting. "No, you can take it" I said and with that he grabbed his chair and went to join another table. I scanned the room and came across someone else I recognised. His eye was still a little swollen but the cut hadn't gone as deep as it looked the other night.

The lad that Mac threw at me at their gig walked right up to the table and sat down in front of me. I looked at him in pure confusion but he didn't look confused at all. "Hey Eve," he said. How did he even know my name? "It's me... Lyle"
