Luna's POV
It was a Wednesday afternoon and I was working the afternoon shift at the restaurant. I hadn't been feeling my best today but I couldn't afford to call out. Midway through my shift I started feeling dizzy and lightheaded so I drank some water. My manager Laura was a super sweet woman she just turned 30 and she always treated us with kindness and respect. I didn't have a car yet so when I would work the afternoon shifts with Laura she would always drive me home.It was 9:30pm and the restaurant was already closed we were finishing up our closing tasks when I felt myself get dizzy and lightheaded again. I ran to the bathroom to splash some cold water on my face. As I reached the bathroom I felt myself get nauseous and I threw up everything I had which wasn't much. Laura came rushing in she told me to go sit down and that she would finish up. Once she was done we made our way to her car. I felt absolutely terrible I was lightheaded, dizzy, nauseated, and shaky. I assumed Laura was taking me home so I closed my eyes and decided to take a small nap.
Once we had arrived to what I thought was my house she woke me up and said "Luna we're here" to my surprise I woke to the parking lot of a hospital. No way in hell was I about to go in there. I was terrified of hospitals and doctors. I looked at Laura and said "what are we doing here?" she looked at me and said "you are clearly not okay and you need to be checked out". I looked at her with pleading eyes and said "please just take me home. I don't want to be here." She gave me a sympathetic look and said "Luna my friends are going to help you out. I promise you they aren't going to hurt you baby. They're really nice."
I begged for her to take me home but I had no luck. She held me in her arms as she was texting someone. A couple of minutes later a tall blonde came with a wheelchair and pushed me inside. Laura introduced me to him but I was so tired and out of it that I didn't even pay attention. The realization set in as soon as I was placed on a hospital bed and I started to panic and cry. I just wanted to go home I didn't want to be here. Laura was in the room with me so I called for her. She came to my side and told me to breathe and that everything was gonna be okay. I heard Laura yell "Luke" as soon as she yelled for him I saw a very familiar tall blonde with the most beautiful blue eyes walk in.
At this point I was sure I was fucking hallucinating because there was actually no way that Luke Hemmings was standing in my hospital room wearing a fucking white coat. He came rushing to my side and told me to take deep breaths. I did as said and when the tears and panic had subsided my first instinct was to ask "who are you?" In my head I knew who he was but I was pretty sure I was hallucinating so I decided to ask. He kneeled down to my level and said "I'm Dr. Hemmings but you can call me Luke! I'm friends with Laura" my eyes went wide and I looked at Laura. He walked out of the room and said he would be back shortly. Laura was super chill so I always gossiped with her and she was aware that I was a huge fan of 5sos. Never once did she mention that she was friends with Luke Hemmings.
I looked at Laura and said "great I probably just embarrassed myself in front of him. I probably scared him off". Laura giggled and said "you're fine. I promise, you didn't scare him off". A couple of minutes later I was cool and collected and Luke came back in. He told me that I was showing clear signs of dehydration and that I had to get an IV. I feared needles more than I did anything else so this wasn't going to be fun at all. I could feel the tears start to form again and Laura asked me what was wrong. I told her that I had a terrible fear of needles and I didn't want an IV. She told me that she was sorry and that it would be okay. Luke came back in with the IV supplies and said "Luna sweetie, why are you crying?" I couldn't even talk properly from how much I was crying all I said was "no needles".
