I can hear leaves rustling, cold wind...
I glanced out the window, the paintball rain had stopped. ' Should we head out?' ' I doubt it, the red team is still here' Asher complained. We were discussing battle plans. We saw a member of the purple team jump out the bottom floor door, I aimed for 1 of the players. I saw a member of the red team dive out the window and get shot by a purple paintball, we rested in our location as they scurried towards the west, 'I heard them whispering about a "safe zone", I think they had done this before and have some prior information about a certain safe zone.' Asher explained. ' How can you hear so well? I asked him, climbing out the window. ' Idk, I think we can ask Luna after this' Asher said, getting ready to climb out after me. We jumped out and threw a smoke bomb. The red team attempted to shoot at us, but we got them first. The purple team had passed and so we bolted across, slowly following them. They stopped sprinting and started to whisper;=, I wasn't listening as I was talking to Asher. ' I think they're soon going to realize our presence.' I warned. ' I doubt it, we're decently far enough. I heard a gun load, widening my eyes at Asher, we jumped behind opposite trees as a bunch of purple paintball balloons flew across us. 'Let's attack in 3..2..1! We jumped ahead and shot a few paintballs out of our guns. One of the members reversed the ballon's onto us, it seems they know some element control. We took cover behind the trees again. As the paintball rain started. 10 minutes into the direct camp, the rain stopped. The purple team was nowhere in sight. We got out of the tress and immediately got splashed from the front, apparently, they know how to use their invisibility powers that Luna told me about. They went on ahead invisible as soon as we froze. In those 5 minutes, me and Asher came up with a camp plan.
* 5 minutes later*
' We're going to find the thickest leaf-covered tree here, climb up, and shoot people crossing this place, before I froze, I heard the purple team talking an all team meet up point for the final battle. They had this information before the announcement.' I explained. I located a large tree with great big branches. We climbed onto the tree. 'I wonder when the other teams will get to know about this "meet up point" ' As soon as Asher asked, we heard the announcer's voice echo a message. 'Warriors and Legends! We are now introducing a new tactic to increase your chances of survival during the paintball rain! A safe zone has been created, it shields from the paintball rain, BUT there's a catch! Every team will have 1 designated wall on 1 side! And only a couple of trees for cover! This will start eliminating the teams as it is the second-last course! Once you enter the arena, your and your opponent's guns are hexed to have an eliminationary finish, whichever team gets shot has NO chance of entering the competition again!' I sighed of exhaustion.
Asher's POV:
*20 minutes later*
We saw a clearing with a path, and a turn wayyy up ahead, leading to a somewhat visible safety shield.

We entered the safe zone and immediately ducked behind a large bush, Ember's back to mine, observing each of our sides for movement carefully. I saw a green team member skipping through the trees arriving closer to us by the minute. In an attempt to get Ember's attention, I-
Ember's POV:
Asher tapped my shoulder, telling me to look amongst the trees. As soon as I spotted the green team member, I shot her with a paintball.
