Ember's POV

We immediately started scanning our surroundings, I wondered where the other teams were... We most likely have an advantage because we're at a height. As I snapped out of my thoughts, an orange paintball shot across us, I wasn't expecting it whatsoever, Asher has better senses than me and pulled me away. ' It came from behind that boulder over there.' He explained. We hid beside a thick branch, blocking our enemies from getting even a paintbrush's worth of paint on us.

Asher's POV:

'So, what's the plan?' Ember questioned. 'I'm not so sure yet, but we better get higher up this tree.' I whispered. We silently started climbing up the tree. Dodging a couple of purple paintballs, we found a safe space a bit higher on the tree. It had plenty of leaves, not only did it mean our opponents couldn't see us but also the fact that we couldn't see them. We were stagnant, patient, and steady, waiting to sense some movement. 5 minutes passed, and then those 5 minutes became 10, and those 10 minutes easily moved onto 15.  Finally, we heard a paintball burst and a shout. I heard the announcer once again ' Fellow participants! Since there are 2 teams left, the eliminatory finish has been disabled, these 2 teams shall move on to the final course, if a team DOES happen to get shot, their fate has been decided, and they'll be frozen for 10 minutes! Good luck players! May the best team win!' He exclaimed, after which, a sudden silence fell upon the long field of competition. Attempting to figure out the final team's location, I closed my eyes as to hear my surroundings. I heard a leaf move right behind me, turned around in a hurry. I saw a purple team player, smirking with their gun, as the paintball escaped the gun and splashed on my body, I felt the frost climb up my body, my eyesight fading to black, as I drifted into my thoughts. How am I still moving? I crossed my physical limit 20 minutes ago, with no food nutrients or even water! I wish I'd told Ember about my knee disfiguration when I almost slipped off the castle, I'd just worry her more though, I regret keeping it to myself but I've also come to even terms with it as Ember would've gotten worried. What now? I guess I'll wait...

*10 minutes later*

As I unfroze, I looked around to see Ember leaning on a tree waiting for me. I jumped down and without another word, we started sprinting together. ' I figured that while we were frozen the location for the climbing course was revealed, I also figured we could follow in the footmarks of the purple team to get to the location, you know, in case they moved locations from the place it was on the map, and if these footprints were a trick, we'd check the map luna gave us' She blurted in the middle of pants and sighs.

Ember's POV:

As Asher and I were running we crossed yet another amazing looking sight in the far off distance.

An extravagant flower field, swishing with the wind and glowing in all it's might
