Percy's POV:

I was still no closer to finding out what the Hades was up with Annabeth. She was the same old her when she was with just the Seven but as soon as Emily appeared she would be completely different. If I didn't know better, I thought that she was angry. But that was stupid. Why would Annabeth act like that with Emily?

I woke up in an unfamiliar bed, in an unfamiliar room, listening to an all too familiar person yell "Wakey-wakey, rise and shakey!!!".

"Leo Valdez!!" I heard a voice shout. "Shut up!" Why must he interfere with my important sleep? I turned around and looked at my bedside table. It was blue. Since when did I have a blue bedside table? I look up and saw an alarm clock on top show my fate: Getting out of bed.

Outside of the window, skyscrapers dotted the horizon, stretching out to the blue sky. Ooh, blue... I wonder if Mum has made blue cookies again Aghh! Stupid ADHD!

I rolled off the bed (with one sock on and the other on the other side of the room), got changed and walked downstairs. The rest of the Seven were there, eating waffles. I quickly remembered what had happened and grabbed my own loaded plate. Piper glanced at my plate, which was currently being drowned in blue syrup (never leave home without it guys) and raised an eyebrow at me. I shook my head and sat down.

But before the succulent juices of blueness could enter my buccal cavity – you see Annabeth, I can speak posh too! – Emily came down the stairs, grabbed a chocolate flapjack from the counter and ran through the door with a hurried "Bye!"

Shortly afterwards, Annabeth stood up, put on a coat, and followed Emily. Weird girls.

I just dumped my plate in the sink and leapt up the stairs to watch a new film (a/n: yeah, have you watched Finding Nemo?)

Annabeth's POV:

Now you may think "Oh yeah nasty Annabeth is going to stalk poor Emily!". First of all, it's Emily at fault here, not me. She was the one who followed us, she was the one who's been turning my friends against me, she's the one who... well, you get the point.

There is something extremely off about her. I felt like she everything we knew about her was a lie. But I didn't know anybody who knew her well. She was like a circus clown, an innocent mask shielding her true colours from the world. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and started to write:

What we know:

· Emily is a demigod

· She fell from the sky in a ball of fire

· Her actions are very suspicious

My handwriting wasn't that bad for a dyslexic-ridden child. The classes must be paying off then. My mind started to wander. Those classes were pretty pricy, but I was pleased to know that they did their job. I really need a class to stop ADHD... arghhh!

I tried to turn my attention back to the matter at hand. The first sentence caught my attention. Hadn't Grover said her aura wasn't that of a demigod? If she wasn't a halfblood, what was she then? That was my first mission then. I called it Mission FOWTHIWWEAWDSCF. In case you didn't realise, that stood for: Find Out What The Hades Is Wrong With Emily And Where Did She Come From. A bit long, but it would have to do.

As soon as I saw Emily rush out the door, I quickly followed suit. I needed to find out where she was going. So yes, you could say I was stalking, but it was for a good cause!

I followed her all the way to an empty alley, one of many in New York, and ducked behind a bin. What was she doing? My hand itched towards my dagger – empty alleys are know to be the biggest clichés in the world and you never know what monsters are waiting to attack. Emily pulled off her rucksack and dug out a small golden disc, it's shiny surface glinted in the sun. My curiosity got the better of me and I creeped closer, silently begging that Emily didn't turn around. I peered around the side of an empty cardboard box and watched as Emily brought out an aerosol. I squinted my eyes and realised what Emily was trying to do.

She placed her bag on the floor and sprayed a shower of water and threw the disc in. "O Iris, goddess of the rainbow," Emily paused. "Um... I've never done this before so can you please show me - " Her voice dropped down to whisper. "Pegs"

The iris message shimmered slightly and I saw... Olympus? Why would Emily need to see Olympus? This case was getting more and more interesting. There was something in the centre but all I could see was a flash of white before Emily gasped and swiped through the IM. I guess whoever or whatever this 'Pegs' was had seen her.

Emily ran her hand through her hair and muttered something under her breath incoherently. She placed the aerosol back in her bag and turned around. I knew it would only be seconds before she found me. I lay flat on the ground, praying that she wouldn't suddenly decide to look down.

I held my breath as I heard the whoosh of Emily's feet as they hit the floor. I had enough time to see her run down another road. I knew exactly where that led to. The library. Yay. A bit more creeping around for Annabeth. I can't wait.

Emily's POV

I had to control the weird urge to laugh. First Annabeth makes it clear and she hates me and now she's stalking me like an obsessed fan. Well, I'm sorry to tell you, but she's doing an absolutely rubbish job. I could literally see her hair peeping out from behind the box. I just hope she wasn't smart enough to work out who I was trying to see. Maybe she thought I like pegs?

The truth? What I saw broke my heart all over again. I could hear my heart thumping as I felt my world tumbling from what I thought I knew, to the cold, hard truth. I try to think about the Olympians, all the times when I felt loved and safe, blocking the few times I suspected their true intentions. The CRU were right. Maybe I'm just a weapon, and once I break, I'm useless.

Well I'll show them. I'll show all the people who doubted me, who mocked me, that I am much more than their pawn, their toy to play with. I am Emily Jacobs. Not the Flame of Olympus, but Sarah Jane Brady Jacob's daughter. And I will be strong.
