Annabeth's POV:
When Piper called for the Seven to have a meeting, I was ecstatic. Finally they had realised how much of a danger Emily and Cameron were to us. "Alright," Piper said, starting the meeting. "I called this to quickly explain what's going on with Goode High School." Wait what?
Piper continued. "Here's a list of the people you're with in each class."
I peered at the paper, letters scrambling around the page. When they stopped, I could only gape in horror. There is no way this is happening. I had Chemistry, Maths, English, Geography and History with Miss Devil. Thank the gods that Hazel had English, History and Physics with me. After studying the piece of paper more closely I realised that all of my classes had Percy in them except for Maths. Huh. That's lucky.
After all of us had compared classes, Jason raised his hand nervously. He began speaking "I was thinking about the situation with Emily and I think we should talk to the Gods to ask them what they know about her." At once a chorus of cries rose up from the rest of the Seven. I spoke up. "I think Jason's right, Emily has been shifty and we might have a potential traitor in our midst."
The door burst open and we came face to face with none other than Emily Jacobs herself, leaning against the doorway with an irritating smirk on her face. She studied her nails, one perfect eyebrow raised before scoffing. "Says the girl who's boyfriend is being possessed by Kronos and plans to demolish Olympus."
Emily's POV:
After I had silenced Annabeth with that awesome comeback, I shut the door and leant back on it. I didn't mean to be so blunt. I mean I did, but that girl totally deserved it. I'm the Flame of Olympus for gods' sake! I keep the Olympians alive; there's no way that I would even think of betraying them!
"But when it came to Earth's safety you chose it over us," I heard Cupid appear beside me, wings flashing away quicker than the old Emily would have seen. But I saw and fake-glared at him. "I thought I said no flying. We don't want to get caught."
Cupid smiled. "Why of course, dear Flame-"
"Don't call me that either! Do you want to get our cover blown?"
Cupid simply ignored me and grinned. "To be fair, if I was in your position I would also think greatly of Earth. Despite its strangeness, its people are quite amusing to watch and it does have some very interesting Hawaiian goddesses."
I laughed before remembering something. "Did you hear what Annabeth said though?"
Cupid nodded. "Do you think the Greek Olympians can see through the Mist thing?"
I groaned. "Most likely yes."
"Great."
I began to smile at Cupid's sarcasm then I realised something. "You have a Greek counterpart!"
Cupid looked at me in horror. "I do?"
I banged my head on the wall beside the doors. "Yes you do, he's called Eros and if he sees you it might be like what happened with the CRU clones all over again."
Cupid's face was white. "I'm going to get attacked by the violent and less good version of myself?"
My voice became small. "Possibly?"
Percy's POV:
Dam. I don't think anyone was expecting that. Hehe. Dam. I need to go to the dam snack bar and get some dam fries from the dam snack-bar at the dam Hoover Dam. Maybe I could bring Grover and Thalia and we can get matching dam t-shirts, except Thalia's would probably have to be black... arghh the ADHD!
I looked around, unfortunately brought out of my dam day dream (hey alliteration!) and realised everyone was still in shock. I clapped loudly and Leo fell backwards. He grumbled and sat up.
Annabeth, slightly red in the face, stood up quickly and put her ear next to the door. Emily and Cameron were talking in hushed tones, too quiet for us to hear.
Annabeth came back and and spread her arms wide. "You see? This is proof that Emily is a traitor!"
I was confused. "How is it proof?"
Annabeth rolled her eyes. "It's obvious what they're talking about! Emily must have been listening to our conversation and realised that we had caught onto her so she and Cameron were discussing how to make sure we don't find out her secret!" Sheesh. Annabeth had said all of that in one breath.
Leo spoke up. "But this is what you think, not what we know. We shouldn't make assumptions."
Annabeth glared at him. "This is ridiculous. I don't know why we're arguing but-"
Leo interrupted her. "We're arguing because you're wrong! This is the opposite of what happened with Luke! You refused to believe that he was against the Gods and look where that got you! Now you're assuming that Emily's going to betray us because of what? Because you're jealous of her?"
Annabeth looked mad. Leo's hair looked like it was on the brink of bursting into flames. The rest of us shuffled back nervously, except for Piper. She glanced at the two of them and said slowly "If we just calm down..." A glare from Annabeth silenced her.
Annabeth switched her glare to Leo. "Says you Leo! We all know that you like her but I'm going to tell you the truth so you stop dreaming: Emily's never going to like you back! She's just using you to fight the rest of us! For all we know, you could be helping her, going against the Gods!"
That was too far. Leo looked super pissed as fire sprung up from his palms. He ascended upon Annabeth's now shaking form, arms raised high, ready to fire. I was about to run in front, but someone stopped me.
A streak of black rushed from the door, arms outstretched. The rest of the Seven looked aghast as Emily ran in front of Annabeth, shielding Annabeth with her body, and grasped Leo's flaming wrists with her hands.
