(👀 Feel free to imagine Tighnari wearing the outfit in my drawing. I just had to draw it when I saw a piece from someone else, idk their name though ;^;)
"Forget it! Come on!" The Eremites ended up running off after losing their battle.
"Nari, are you alright?" Cyno would ask.
"I'm fine.." Tighnari was still unwell. Cyno could tell from the way his ears drooped low.
Cyno held his shoulders. "Let's get back, I'll get you some water."
Tighnari's face was a bit red, but Cyno saw it as a fever.
His scent..
"Maybe it's time to take your nap, Master Tighnari." Collei said.
"It's not that bad, anyways." Tighnari said.
"Nari, let me help you to your room." Cyno held his hand.
Tighnari looked at the general's face. He looked concerned, nervous even. "..."
"Take care of my master, Mr. Joke Cracker!" Collei said, in a sassy tone.
Cyno entered the rangers room holding Tighnari. He let Tighnari lie down on his bed, carefully watching his body language. Watching Tighnari's body language has always been the technique Cyno uses to check his condition, as it was easy to read him that way.
"Tighnari, was it the red mist from the withering zone? Do you think it's toxic?" Cyno would question. He didn't know what else to think. Foxes not only have good ears, but have a good sense of smell too.
"N-No.. it's not th-that.." Tighnari stuttered. He had his suspicions for what was happening. "D-Don't look too closely.." He squeezed his arm, the hot sensations didn't go away.
"..Was it my jokes?" Cyno questioned. "No, you're having a heat stroke." He snapped his fingers and pointed at Tighnari. "But it wasn't that hot out."
"Cyno, just shut it." Tighnari sighed. This wasn't helping him at all.
"I'll get you some water. After that I'll let you rest." Cyno left the room temporarily. He quickly came back with some water that was in a green cup.
After Tighnari took a drink of water, Cyno sat down next to him, gently rubbing his back for comfort.
"Did those Eremites do anything to you? Or was it the intoxicated air from the withering zone?" Cyno would question.
"Could be.." Tighnari felt too awkward to admit that he was suspicious of what was happening. But why did it have to happen now?
It was getting too hot in the room. The cold water wasn't taking much effect. Tighnari started to slowly take off his gloves.
Cyno hesitated to watch. The last time he saw Tighnari's bare hands.. it was such an awkward moment. Let's just say that Cyno left the situation with just a few scratches..
Tighnari dropped his gloves on the bed, wiping the sweat off his hands, which were nearly colorless due to the lack of sunlight, the only color was at the tips of his fingers, which were blushed a slight pink. His hands had slightly long, sharp nails that faded to a black.
Cyno cleared his throat. "..It looks like your nails grew out again."
"Yeah. I always cut them down, but they grow back the next day. I'll probably just give up trying to shorten them." Tighnari said. "I mean, that is why I have gloves, is so they don't get in the way so much."
It sounds like he still has his insecurities about them. Cyno heard from before how Tighnari doesn't like to show his delicate looking hands. When he was in the Akademiya, some knuckleheads who didn't know any better made fun of him for being 'girly'. That, and Tighnari used to have long hair when he was still attending that unstable place, making him look cute.
