My name is Aiden Lucas, and I used to rob banks. However, I have since turned my life around and now work as a freelancer in a criminal organization under the name Ace. Tragically, I lost both of my parents to an illness when I was young, which forced me to live in an orphanage. It was there that I met Henry Benjamin, who is skilled in using gadgets and computers, and now goes by the name Pen. As we grew up together, we discovered our mutual love for heist and crime movies.
When we were teenagers, I asked Henry if he thought we could ever execute a heist.
"Do you think we could ever do something like that?" I asked him.
"With the right knowledge and training, yeah, we can," Henry replied.
"That would be an incredible opportunity," I said.
"It would be. Just wait 'til we're old enough to leave this orphanage."
When we turned 26, we left the orphanage and on July 16, 2006, we pulled off our very first bank robbery. I was very nervous and doubted if we could make it without the cops responding early.
"GET DOWN ON THE FLOOR! THIS IS A BANK ROBBERY!"
"Make sure nobody hits the alarm button, Aiden. Or else the cops will be there in just a few minutes."
"NOBODY HIT THE DANG ALARM!"
As a warning, I shot the roof. I heard a few citizens saying that I was doing a very risky mission due to doing it alone without having a crew. I didn't mind it and continued to do the robbery.
"Everyone! Listen to me carefully, stay here, and don't move a single inch from where you are."
After I shouted, I went to the back of the bank and drilled the iron door.
[drilling sound]
"People are outside the bank, Aiden. We don't have enough time."
"Copy that."
After drilling, I budged the door immediately and grabbed the stashed money in the lockers. After I packed it, I went outside and drove my way out.
After a few minutes of driving, I arrived at the warehouse where me and Aiden were hiding. There, I saw his setup of computers, mics, headsets, and many more that only he knew better than me."You got it?"
"Yeah, I got it."
I placed the bag on the table and opened it. As expected, the money was there.
"Told you it'll be worth it, Aiden," Henry said with a smirk in his face.
"That was a bit easier than I expected it to be, We should plan for a bigger heist," I said.
"We will, alright?"
"Alright."
After that, My phone rang.
[phone ringing]
"Who's that"
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and looked at the number, it was unfamiliar since I don't receive calls very often.
"It's a random number," I answered.
"We're gonna answer it? That could be an undercover cop." Henry said with a nervous voice.
"I'll answer it. Let me go outside."
"Okay, be careful."
[footsteps thudding]
After going outside, I made sure no one was around before answering the phone.
"Who's this?"
"Hello, Mr. Lucas. What an incredible heist you pulled off."
"How do you know my name? Who's this?"
"I can't tell you my name yet, Aiden. I'm offering you and your friend an offer. This could be a great opportunity."
"You want to hire us?"
"Exactly, with one condition."
"Go ahead" I curiously replied.
"You will be performing high-profile operations for us. You will be risking your life for this."
"We're okay about that."
"Is that a yes??"
"I guess so."
"Great! Welcome to Orphany, Freelancers."
[phone hangs up]
And after the call, I felt so many exciting emotions. I know that opportunity will be great. I went back to Henry.
"So? What was it?"
"It's someone who's offering us a great opportunity."
"Who is it?"
"Their organization name is called "Orphany," they offered us to hire in their ranks. But in exchange, we will be freelancers for them."
"I'm very okay with that," Henry replied to me with a very exciting voice.
After that, we immediately searched for our codenames. We came up with the names we have today.
"Come to us tomorrow at 7 AM. We'll be waiting for you two here. Ace and Pen."
[phone hangs up]
"Alright."
And since that day, my life has been about to turn around. I joined Orphany...
