25. It's Too Hot For Your Clothes

When we arrived at my dad's house I hopped out of the car, much to Shane's dismay. I had told him I didn't need him to open every door for me, but he insisted that he liked doing it. The feeling in my stomach only seemed to intensify, I made it inside and began heading to my room. Shane went to follow me when I stopped him, telling him he needed to shower and change his clothes. Then I told him after that he needed to go talk with my father, to see if he needed anything... I barely make it to my room and shut the door before a massive amount of pain shot through me, I doubled over leaning against my dresser. It felt like I was burning from the inside out, biting my lip did little to quiet the whimpers as I made it to my bed... I knew exactly what was happening even though it was my first time experiencing it, each and every female wolf goes through what the refer to as a heat once they met their mates... but I hadn't gone through one even though I had met my mate and even make my second chance mate. The only thing I could think was Mason's bond had messed with that too. My whole body felt like it was burning, my hands moved pulling the clothes I had on off as I stumbled towards the bathroom... Goddess why now? I turned on the cold water, the last thing I needed right this minute was for Shane to come busting into my room and go all alpha mate on me. A shiver ran down my shine at the thought though, I swallowed that would be the easiest way to cool the heat... I slipped into the tub laying my head against the side, the cold water was helping but not much.

Warning Mason POV

How dare she! She was mine and mine alone, how dare she try to get rid of me! She acted like she had gotten over me, like that other alpha was better than me! I'll teach her how to behave, to listen when I speak to her, to lay down and let me fuck the shit out of her whenever I wanted. That's all she's good for, being chained up in my bed for me to use. Jessica had came crying yesterday because Catalina had beat her, she actually thought I gave a fuck about her? The only reason I kept her around was because she was a good fuck and that's it, my plan hasn't changed after all this is over Catalina will stay here with me and the rest of those people that came with her will leave. I sat in my office steaming, how dare that beta talk to me like that and Luna! Hahaha ha Catalina was no Luna she... my eyes shifted to the window, there were kids playing outside... when was the last time I cared about that? She's the problem when she left everything felt like it was falling apart, and now I couldn't even feel her. It pissed me off even more than just knowing that she went back with him...

Shane's POV

I felt my heart nearly stop when I heard Catalina say its over, but after she explained the only thing I felt was joy. She had chosen me and planned to spend the rest of our life's making eachother happy, it was a bit different having her drive not that it was a bad thing or anything. She hopped out of the car before I had the chance to even get out. This woman already had me wrapped around her finger, it didn't matter what if she asked me to do something I would gladly if that'd her happy. I watched her head up stairs, something seemed off but I figured that maybe she was just tired. Heading to talk with Adam, Catalina's father, he seemed to approve of me which made me feel better. Plus getting to punch her brother at least once for all the pain they caused her was worth it too, though I think I'll keep that thought to myself. It's only been two days and Catalina's been trying her best to be apart of the training, I think she's trying to prove that she'd make a good Luna. Though I already know she would it seems that she needs to prove that to herself, I spoke to her father about what had happened with alpha Mason and how he had acted. Adam seemed a bit surprised by Mason's outburst especially with him being mated already.

Even before Catalina explained the situation between Mason and her I already had a strange feeling about him, the first thing he asked wasn't what type of training his warriors would be doing but if Catalina had returned. Like her coming back meant she wouldn't be returning with us when we left, or the fact when we made it to the training grounds as soon as our eyes landed on my mate he didn't stop staring at her or trying to tell her what to do... his disrespect of my mate nearly had me beating his face in but Catalina settled the situation before I could even say anything. But the thing that nearly drove my wolf to take control was when I returned from the training exercise. He had the nerve to push me way from my mate and punch me, he grabbed my mate and tried to walk off with her but it was her scent that lingered on him that had my wolf wanting to rip his head off...
