I still couldn't believe it... no matter how many times I heard it or seen it... My hair was turning white, my father... my father was beside himself as he sat at the table face covered with his hands. I couldn't tell if he was happy or scared, what was happening? I glanced at the mirror once more before I took a seat at the table too, only than did my father look up at me.

"You look more and more like her these days, your mother I mean. Even inheriting the white fur of your wolf from her..." As he looked at me I could see the sadness that lingered there in his eyes, the loss of my mother took the biggest toll on him... Losing one's mate is like losing a half of yourself, it makes you feel empty and incomplete or so my father told us. A sadness that would never go away, I swallowed softly as I glanced downward I could not imagine the pain my father goes through everyday especially with a daughter that looked just like his mate who had passed... "your mother went through the same thing when she shifted, her hair had once been the color of summer chestnuts but once she was bestowed her wolf her hair gradually turned white with each shift. Until her hair was completely white, it's not very common. There are other white wolves out there but most of them didn't have this type of change to their human form, we really haven't found out why this happens so it's still a bit of a mystery to us.... if your mother was still here maybe she would have had more answers for you..."

"Dad..." It was hard talking about mom, I could hear in his voice the pain that plagues him. Even after all these years that pain is still as raw and new as if it was the day we lost her. He's age was being to show on his face as he looked down at his hands before he slowly stood, I wanted to say something anything that would put him at ease... but sadly there wasn't anything I could say or do that could help him...

"I'm going to head up to my office and see if I can uncover anything else about this, maybe there's something in there your mother left behind..." with that father disappeared up to his office, I watched him go from my spot. I laid my head onto the table, there was so much I didn't know. I sighed as I turned my head in my arm, I needed answers but doubted that they would come easy... nothing seems to come easy for me.

I sat there for a while contemplating my situation when my phone buzzed in my pocket, I sat up straight before pulling it out and answering the call. The only reason I truly came here was to break the bond with Mason, I wanted to be free of that weight and be able to be true to Shane... but now it seems that me coming here has raised more questions than answers... I sighed as I placed the phone up to my ear and before I could even get out a hello.

"Hey, get dressed Shane's on he's way to pick you up! We're heading out tonight so wear something comfortable, and before you try to argue your way out of this... we've already decided you need a night of fun, so hurry up you probably only have fifteen minutes or so..." and with that Bella hung up on me, I rolled my eyes. I really didn't want to go out tonight but it seems I've been out numbered...

Well I guess this could be considered a date too, right? Since we've been together we have gone out on a couple "dates", but this is going to be the first one we've actually gone out with other people. Glancing at my phone I checked the time before hurrying up the stairs to my room, Bella said wear something comfortable... so where exactly are we going? She really needs to be more specific at times and why the hell did she feel the need to hung up on me... I sighed as I walked to my closet, what should I wear? Shifting through the clothes I decided to just pull on a pair of faded jeans and a black t-shirt, I decided to also wear a pair of black flats. I really didn't want to over dress especially if we were going to be walking a lot, but knowing Bella this wasnt going to be one of those nice sit down dinner and a movie dates. I turned to the full body mirror before pulling my hair up into a high ponytail, normally I would do my makeup but it felt... a bit over the top, so I left the room without any on. Ashton had perched himself on the couch 'acting' as if he was watching TV, I rolled my eyes as I made my way to the door. I heard Shane pull up as I was heading down the stairs so as he reached for the door I pulled it open, he smiled down at me... it wasn't fair that he was so tall, he stood there for a couple moments before he said something.
