Catalina's POV
I sighed as I set my phone back down before I closed my eyes, I laid there for a few minutes before I heard the door open once again. Slowly I opened my eyes again, there stood a doctor in a white lab coat, her hair was a light brown and about shoulder length. She was looking at a clipboard with what must have been my medical records and lab reports on it. She looked up and smiled softly as she moved towards me.
"Hey Catalina, how are you feeling? You took quite the tumble there." She checked the machines before looking back at me, "I'm Hailey, it was quite a shock to see your aunt rushing you in here."
"I could be better," I looked at her for a moment before I moved slightly, the pain was more intense than I thought it would be.
"Well Catalina, the reason you feel so bad is because after farther inspection of the x-rays we took, you have three cracked ribs, and you fractured your forearm." She tapped her pen on the paper, "so it would take at least two or three weeks to fully heal, even with our healing. But it's nothing to serious as long as you don't take anymore falls or do anything to cause those injury's to worsen. So we'll be able to discharge you later today after we get all the paperwork filled out and signed. I'll also prescribe you something for the pain alright."
All I could do was nodded softly as she smiled before she made her way to the door, as she opened the door there stood Shane. She bowed in respect before exited the room as Shane came inside...
Shane was at my bedside in a matter of seconds, he pulled the blankets away from me making me blush. His hands shook slightly as he took in the extent of my wounds, the blanket fell back against my body as I looked up at him.
"Pull up a chair let's talk," I cleared my throat as I laid my hand on my legs softly. I waited a few moments before I began talking, "I'm sorry for the way I acted, just because I wasn't ready to talk about "him" I shouldn't have just ran away. We should have talked this through and instead I drove a rifted between us. I never thought after what happened that I would be given a second chance, let alone someone as amazing as you..."
The room was silent as I took another breath, after going through this pain again I knew what I had to do. "I'm not ready to talk about him yet, my life before meeting you wasn't great and I told you a little about that. I don't want to hurt you because your a part of me now, the best part of me, the last couple of days have hurt not only you but me too. And when I'm ready I'll tell you everything, but the one thing you shouldn't question is my feelings for you."
If the bond between Mason and I remain, I'll forever feel this way. But before I had a chance to explain anything really, a knock came from the door. Shane opened his mouth before closing it and standing slowly, before he headed to see how dare disturb him.
I watched him as he opened the door quickly, I could tell he was annoyed and I had put him through a lot the last couple of days. I knew I had to fix this and even more so cut ties with Mason forever. That's the only way that I'll... No we'll be happy.
There stood Kyle and my uncle Charlie, both bowed as they seemed to be trying to catch their breath. Shane's back tensed, I couldn't see his face but the waves of tension and worry I could sense them from him. My nerves stood on end as I wanted to comfort him but due to me current condition I couldn't move to much.
Shane's POV
The last couple of days have been absolute torture, my wolf hadn't spoken to me, and it felt as if my heart broke a bit more each day. I was slowly losing my mind and will to go on, without her I was nothing. I had no will to work or even leave my room. I closed my eyes slowly as I pulled my blanket over my head before my phone started to ring. I grumbled softly as I reached for it and answered after checking the caller ID. After a few moments after I picked up I was on my feet, I grabbed some clothes and took a quick shower. Finding out Catalina was in the hospital had my heart racing as I took the stairs to steps at a time and sprinted to my car. What normally would have been a half hour trip was only twenty minutes. I parked my car before heading into the hospital.
I panted softly as I stopped in front the room she had said, I fixed my hair before moving to open the door. The door slid open before I could touch the handle, I looked up and my eyes met hers. Paying no mind to the doctor and moving quickly to her bed, the bandages that covered her. My arms moved and my hands grabbed the blankets lifting them to check her. My body trembled slightly, she had gotten hurt and I wasn't there to help her... She looked at me as I stood there, she sighed as she told me to sit and she explained her situation to me. My heart thumped against my chest, I felt both extremely happy and worried. But before I could respond a knock came, finally being in the same space as my mate after days apart only to be interrupted made me annoyed.
I stood before heading to the door pulling it open, my anger subsided as I seen Kyle and Catalina's uncle Charlie. The look in their faces and how they seemed out of breath made me tense. Kyle and Charlie bowed slightly before straightening.
"Sorry to bother you alpha but we have some important news to run by you. If we could speak with you for a moment," Kyle said before his eyes glanced into the room.
I growled at him softly before I felt something hit me in the back of the head. I turned and looked down at the ground seeing one of Catalina's shoes, I looked up at her slowly when our eyes met I smiled seeing her glare at me.
"Anything you have to say you can say it here, As you know Catalina is to be your Luna." I smiled as she blushed and crossed her arms.
"Well it has to do with the rogue problem..."
