I turned heading towards my bed, one night wouldn't kill him... especially when he's left me by myself for the last three nights. I laid on top of my blankets as I stared up at the ceiling, Lily whined at me telling me to stop being so childish. I rolled my eyes as I heard my phone ding, sitting up I reached over and grabbed it from my nightstand. I knew exactly who it was before I even unlocked my phone, only one person would bombard me with texts.

"Ray's taking me out tonight! You should totally join us, tell your mate to bring you out on the town!" We had only been back about a week and a half and Bella had already been to the club six times with Raymond... I felt bad for him because each morning I see them he looks dead tired especially with him having to oversee the training...

"Not tonight Bella I have to be up early tomorrow morning to start overseeing the training again, plus we both know with everything that's happened to last couple days that last thing Shane would agree to is letting me go clubbing with you. Next time." I sent the message before setting my phone back on the nightstand and plugging it in to charge. My phone dinged three more times before it went silent, I rolled onto my stomach and pressed my face into my pillow.

It wasn't long before I slowly began to drift asleep, my whole body had been a bit stiff and sore from the lack of actual activity. Plus with the heat it took a lot out of you, I had expected to have a comfortable night with a restful amount of sleep but something had other plans. I was thrown into a strange dream.

~"what is this? It's so dark... what's going on?"~

I was running through thick brush, my bare feet thumped against the ground. My heart pounded in my ears, my eyes darted around the dark forest. Something was chasing me, something that had me feeling that I couldn't win and if I stopped now it would be the end of me. The branches smacked against my arms and face, looking down at my body I was still in my pajamas... the ground was wet and slippery, like it had just rained there was no light but the stars in the sky. The forest was thick with mist, it was so heavy that with each breathe I felt as if I might choke. There were the sounds of footsteps behind me, every fiber of my being told me not to shift... to just continue running but the sounds kept getting closer and it didn't sound like just one person following me but hundreds. Chills crept up my spine as my legs burned, I didn't know how long I'd been running or how much longer I'd be able to continue too... the trees began to thin and my hope of reaching safety quickly grew, a little more and I'll be home free, a little more and I know Shane would be there wanting... just as I was about to reach the treeline something darted in front of me making my whole body stiffened as I tried to stop. Whatever was chasing me stopped as I slid to a stop about ten feet from the creature in front of me, red eyes glowed as the large dark wolf stared back at me. A cold sweat covered my body but before I could even scream that wolf lunged at me...
~~~~~~
I sat up in a fit of panic, my body was drenched in sweat and my heart was pounding hard against my chest. I rubbed my hands up and down my arms as I closed my eyes, it had been a bad dream... when I opened my eyes I glanced around my room as if to double check to make sure I was truly alone, something deep in me told me that whatever that thing was... it was no friend of mine.
"Lily?" My head throbbed harshly as I brought my hand up, covering my forehead. My mind was a bit foggy and we probably had this conversation before but I was having a hard recalling if we did or not. "Lily? Did you see that dream? What's up with that strange mist like creature and why has it been showing up lately? Argh my head..."
Lily was silent for a long while which made me a bit worried, Lily had never just outright ignored me before... I slowly moved to get out of bed, clearly with no light shining in my window it meant it was still quite early. I slowly stood before heading towards the bathroom, I gently rubbed my neck which felt sore. My fingers brushed over the slightly raised skin where Shane's mark now laid, it sent a chill through my body. Once inside the bathroom I splashed my face with water before looking up at the mirror, my face drained of color and my fingers gripped the white edge of the sink. In the mirror behind me was a massive dark shadow that's eyes glowed red and its yellow teeth bared, I gritted my teeth before I turned quickly to face the mass... but when I turned there was nothing there...
