Regina Spring

I kissed Ashley goodbye and she promised me she'd call. My mom still didn't have to know about any of this. It was our little secret till I figured things out. I gave Sydney my guitar pick because that was the thing that meant the most to me and I wanted her to have it. I had made a pendant out of it so that it didn't get lost and as I sat down in the car with my mom, I felt heavy hearted and started crying. I cried a lot.

Mom had to stop the car and hug me for a few minutes before I calmed down.

"I'm going to miss them, mom!"

"Don't worry! Maybe I'll drop you at their houses once in a while and we can get pizza on the way back home. What do you think?"

"Pizza sounds delicious!" I said laughing through my tears.

We played Girl in Red the whole time in the car and mom said she liked her music. It made me feel comfortable and I finally got the urge to tell her about Ashley.

It was a good idea!
