Okay, we made it throught that little encounter. Phew. After we escaped from the upstairs fire exit, we ran all the way to my siblings' school. It was my day to pick them up. And watch them. Willow and Lina volunteered to help me watch them, along with Eric, but Bella and Bri couldn't stay. So, we just waiting in the parent-pick up line, talking about our amazing experience. When the kids came out, I introduced them.
"Okay guys, this is, Willow, Lina, and you know Eric." I told them, pointing at each one of my friends.
"Wow, I like your outfit!" Ava exclaimed, talking about Lina. Lina had a really girly fashion sense, and that's what Ava loved. Although, if she had met Bella, she would think the opposite. Bella was actually pretty tomboy-ish. Bella was the hipster. Lina was the artsy one.
"Oh, thanks. Hey, where we goin' next Audge?" Lina asked.
"Wanna go to ILoveIcecream? No way am I ever going back to YouGotYogurt." I stated.
"Sounds good," Eric replied, now carrying Ethan on his shoulders, me walking next to them. Mason was behind everyone, playing some game on his phone. Ava was talking to Lina, and Chloe was talking to Willow. Everyone seemed to like eachother.
We walked to ILoveIcecream, and we all ordered what we wanted. For Willow, pistachio icecream. For Chloe, her usual, vanilla soft-serve covered in rainbow jimmies. Ava wanted her usual, the rocky road. Next Lina ordered, and it was a surprise to me that she got black-rasberry icecream. And then Eric, he got his favorite, mint chocolate chip, and Ethan wanted to copy him, so he also got mint chocolate chip. Last were me and Mason. Mason got plain vanilla, man is he boring. And finally, I got my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ICECREAM OF ALL TIME. PEANUT-BUTTER CUP! Willow payed for her and Chloe, Lina payed for her and Ava, Eric payed for him and Ethan, and I was stuck paying for me and Mason's. It's a good thing its cheap.
"You guys didn't have to pay for my siblings, really, I would have." I said.
"No! We wanted to! We insist!" Lina explained.
"Okay, well, thanks!" I said, as we continued to walk to my house.
"Hey, Audgey, are we gonna go swimming in your pool?" Eric asked, grabbing my hand with one hand, and my waist with the other, kissing me on the head.
"Maybe, do you guys have your bathing suits?" I asked, knowing they probably did because of gym class.
"I have mine," Lina said.
"Me too," Willow said.
"Me three!" Eric said.
"Let me check in with my mom." I said, dialing her number, knowing that she wouldn't be home.
On the phone:
"Hey mom,"
"Hey, what's up Audrey?"
"My friends are helping me watch the kids at the house, and they all have their bathing suits, is it okay if we go swimming?" I asked, doubting that she'd let us.
"Yea, that's fine! Just make sure you skim the top first, and the pool floaties and noodles are in the shed. Oh, and Ethan & Ava's bathing suits are in the dryer. Chloe and Mason know where theirs are. Thanks for checking in honey!"
"No problem mom! Thanks a ton, see you in a few hours."
Talking with my friends again:
"Alright, she said yes! One of you can change in the guest room, Eric, you can change in my room while I get Ava and Ethan's ready. Someone in the upstairs bathroom, someone in the downstairs one, go!" I said. "Ethan, Ava, come with me."
Everyone dispursed, as I got Ava and Ethan's bathing suits on, that is, after I wiped all the dried icecream off their faces ;P. I told them all to wait on the deck while I got changed, and cleaned the pool. I got into my little bustier bikini, and headed to the garage for the skimmer. After I did that, I grabbed all my huge floaties, and plopped them in my big inground pool. Yes. Inground. The one thing my dad had left for us, the pool.
"Audrey you are the best." Lina said, climbing into the floatie, in her cute little fringe-topped tankini. She looked cute.
"Yea. Seriously. We never used to have any fun before you came. I'm so glad you're our friend. Really. We love you." Willow said, standing on the diving board in her high-waisted swimsuit.
"Yea babe. Your the best. Really, this past year with you has been the best. I love you." Eric said.
"Aww guys thanks! I barely used to have fun either, and I'm so glad I met you guys." I said, helping Ethan and Ava onto their noodles. They were big enough that they didn't need donuts, but they needed noodles.
Mason jumped in, along with me and Chloe. We were having so much fun. We were splashing eachother with that crystal clear water. It was so refreshing. Lina's fringe was so cool looking in the pool. These past few months have been amazing with them. I got out for a few minutes to grab lemonade, and the clock said 3:00. They had an hour more at my house, but Eric was sleeping over cuz it was Friday. We continued splashing eachother. I dived under and grabbed Willow's leg.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEK!" She screamed. I started dying laughing. That was awesome.
"What is wrong with you!" Willow said, swimming after me grabbing the back of my suit, splashing water down the front of it.
"AHH! MY BOOB!" I yelled, everyone laughing. I went after Willow, and dunked her under the water.
"I'll get you for that!" I said, chasing after her, attempting to put her under again, but she ended up dunking me. I got on top of the floatie to make sure she couldn't get to me, but she flipped me over! We were having way to much to even realize that it was soon 5:00! Mom was home now.
"Guys, you should probably go?" I asked.
"Yea, I've gotta get home," Lina said grabbing her towel, Willow doing the same.
"Bye guys, see you later!" I said. "C'mon Ava, Ethan, Mason, Chloe, inside."
They went inside, and they were no longer my problem. Eric got changed in the bathroom, me getting changed in my room.
Best day ever.
