The next day I had to go to school with crutches. I don't like lots of attention, but this is going to bring a ton of it. Eric, Willow, Lina, Bella, and Bri were waiting outside my house in the morning. They insisted on taking the bus, like we do sometimes, but I really wanted to walk to school, you know, break in the crutches. I didn't really get a huge chance to use them.
"No, no. We have to take the bus. I am not letting you walk to school with a broken leg. It is not okay." Eric said to me.
"Well, I have crutches. Plus, I want to break 'em in, okay? If you wanna take the bus go ahead guys, I'll walk alone." I told them.
"Fine. We'll walk. You might get even more hurt walking alone." Bri said, glancing at Eric, her long ginger hair waving in the light morning breeze.
When we finally got to school, I hurried up to my locker (as fast as I could go on those things without tripping and falling on my face...) so that people wouldn't see me to much. I should've picked a different color cast that didn't stand out to much. But it was too late. Jaden, Jackie, and Jesse (Jaden's crew.) were all at my locker.
"Well, well, well, what has this weasel gotten herself into." Jesse said to Jaden.
"Looks like she has a broken leg." Jaden said, grinning from ear to ear. "So, what did you do, oh wait, let me guess, you tripped on Eric's foot?"
"No. I got- wait why am I telling you. Your just a lying little b!tch. (SORRY SWEAR! But I didn't know what to substitute it for...) I don't need to answer to you. You'll probably just alter the story anways." I said, slamming my locker in her face, and hobbling away on my crutches.
"You'll be sorry. Oh you'll be sorry." I heard her mumbling under her breath. I'm not concerned. I went and got Lina to carry my books since she was in my first period class downstairs, along with Jesse. But as I was half-way down the hall to my locker, Jackie ran up to me, out of breath.
"Au-aud-audrey! J-ja-jaden is p-planning on pushing you d-down the s-stairs! B-be careful!" She tried saying, exasperated and in-between breath.
"Okay. Don't worry about it. I got it. Thanks Jackie." I reassured her. And after Jackie had walked away I explained to confused Lina what was going on and why I had been talking to Jackie, and most importantly, why Jackie had been talking to me.
*WALKING DOWN TO FIRST PERIOD.*
Me and Lina began walking downstairs. Jesse came up behind us, without Jaden. She took her big leather boot, and kicked the back of my crutch, almost sending me flying down the flight of stairs. Jackie wasn't wrong. Then, suddenly, Eric came up behind all of us, including Jackie. He pulled her hair back, with her screeching the whole time. Then a teacher heard us, and asked Eric what in the world was going on, so I began explaining from when Jesse tried to kick my crutch out from under me. He yelled at all of us and brought us ALL (including Lina) to the princibal's office.
"So, I have a broken ankle, as you can see, and I was slowly walking downstairs to my first period class when Jesse here came up behind me. She took her big boot and tried to kick my crutch out so I would fall down the stairs. But, I managed to stay up, and then Eric came and defended me because I couldn't. He pulled her hair and she overreacted. But in Eric's defense, she would've done way more damage to me. And Lina had NO part in it AT ALL." I said, defending all of us except Jesse.
"Okay. All dismissed but Jesse. Goodbye." The princibal replied. We all got out of the room, but I heard him whisper to her, "2 weeks suspension.". Yay.
