The roads are finally completely cleared and break is over. Eric's birthday is tomorrow! I can't wait. I have this thing planned for us. I'm taking him to his favorite restaurant and then we're going ice skating at blue beach. Yes, on the ocean. But let's get through today first?
When I get to school, there's a new girl next to me at my locker. She's putting in the combo.
"Um? Hi?" I ask
"Oh hi... I'm new here, uh I'm Iris."
"Audrey. I can show you around if you want!"
"Thanks, that'd be great!" Iris said, her eyes sparkling.
I took her down the halls, showing her each classroom. I began to introduce her to my friends.
"This is Willow, Bri, Lina and Bella," I said, pointing to each person. I saw her admiring Eric. "This is Eric," I paused, "my boyfriend."
"Oh? Your boyfriend?" Iris asked.
"Yup. Almost 2 years now." Eric said, oh so cutely.
"Oh wow! That's a long time." She was now glaring at his beautiful golden hair.

Thankfully, Iris isn't in Eric and I's class. She should know to stay away from him. I don't even know what I should do...maybe I should tell her to hang out with the J crew. Then she won't be my problem.
But, Iris fled to them all on her own! Come lunch time, they were making her tunic into a crop top and turning her braids into a messy bun.
NEXT DAY - Eric's Birthday!
I woke up and realized, "Woah! Its Eric's birthday!" I can't wait for tonight. Iceskating! On the ocean! I put on a pink Arrow (like aéro, heh see what I did there) hoodie with a pair of ripped up jeans. I put on my bubble gum pink high top Converse. If I were younger, my hair would be put in two high pigtails. But, I just slipped my hair into a high side pony. I grabbed a little birthday hat, that was waiting to be worn by Eric off my dresser. I shoved it (carefully) into my backpack.
I skidded out the door shouting quick goodbyes and without breakfast. I decided to stop at the pastry shop down the street first. I grabbed a little blue cupcake for him.***
I missed the bus so Blake gave me a ride. When I got to school, I snuck up behind Eric. "Boo!" I yelled."Ahh!" He yelled sarcastically.
"Happy birthday!!" I shouted."Aw thanks!" He wrapped me in a tight hug.
I pulled the little white pastry box out from behind my back along with the hat.He opened up the box and slipped on the hat. I took a small fingerful of frosting and put it on his nose.
"You have to keep that on all day." I told him.
"Okay fine, just for you."
"Aww," I blushed.
THAT NIGHT
Eric thought we were having dinner at my house and then going iceskating. I surprised him when we began walking out the door."Wait, where are we going?"
"Your favorite restaurant..."
"You serious!!"
"Yupp."
We jumped in the car and drove to the place. When we got there, we got a seat almost immediately. We were placed in a small little booth. He ordered the special, their steak appetizer. I just got a hotdog. After we were done eating our food and drinking our Sprites, I called over the waitress.
"Its his birthday!" I whispered to her.
"Oh, well!" She waved to all of the other waiters and waitresses. "Time to sing happy birthday then!!"
Another waiter brought out a little icecream cake with 17 candles on it.
"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to youuu! Happy birthday dear Ericccc! Happy birthday to you!" The whole restaurant sang to him. His face was soo red!
We ate the cake, paid, and got in the car.
I began driving to Blue Beach."I thought we are going iceskating?" Eric asked.
"We are!" I told him.
He had a very confused look on his face. "Where?"
"Maybe the ocean, maybe not..."
"Babe! That's super dangerous!!" He cautioned.
"Not when its pretty much frozen through..."
"I suppose."
We pulled into the sand lot. I looked in the backseat, but the skates weren't there. I checked the trunk, but they weren't there either.
"Do you know where the skates are!" I was beginning to panic.
"Nope."
"We forgot them!!" I exclaimed.
"Narts..." He said, voice trailing off. "I guessss you'll have to settle for the next best thing." He grinned.
"And what is that?" I leaned up against his chest.
"Kissing me?" He replied.
"Okay, I guess that'll do..." He leaned forward and began the kiss. I've always thought kissing is gross, I mean, you're sucking on each others faces. But, when I kiss Eric, I don't really find it gross. I had to get on my tiptoes in order to kiss him back. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he placed his hands on my waist. We were there in the moonlight for quite a while. When it got to late, I drove Eric home. Then, I went home and hit the pillow.
