you excitedly skipped instead of walking. you and akaashi were now walking home from being in the only spot you both could be at after school. tomorrow would mark a week of you waiting for the practice match. from the looks of it, you'd think you would be the one on court from how much you talked about it this week. regardless of that, this week also consisted of both you and akaashi getting closer by the second.
you enjoyed akaashis company and it was clear that he enjoyed yours as well. there was no doubt that you ever regretted meeting akaashi. in fact, you're glad he came to the tree in the first place. other wise, you wouldn't even be as close to him as you are now.
akaashi only looked at you dreamily with a clear smile on his face. his smile quickly disappeared, flinching at you who just snapped in his face to show him that you both arrived at your house. he glared at you but you just ignored him.
"don't look at me like that! you were the one who looked like you were soo in love with me!" you put both of your hands on your hips and leaned your upper body forward a bit, teasingly smiling at the boy. he only scoffed, walking away from you. of course, he didn't forget to say a goodnight before leaving. you happily replied with a goodnight and went inside your house.
you went to your room and put your phone onto your bed, dropping all of your belongings into a random corner in your room, soon grabbing clothes to change in after you took a shower. you were about to walk out of your room before your phone dinged from a notification.
