** JOSLYN P.O.V**

we were walking up to the common room talking about Umbridge

"of all people! of all people! the one professor I'm on bad terms with has to take over my favorite class!" I said pissed. that's not fair! I've only know her for 3 bloody hours and I already hate that toad.

"she was at my hearing" Harry piped and I rolled my eyes "great another reason for me to loooveee her" I said sarcasm lacing my tone.

we made it up to the common room and Kenz came up and grabbed my hand "I'm so excited jos!" she squealed and I smiled bending down and kissed her forehead. Hermione came up next to Harry and whispered something in his ear before rushing up to Jax who was a couple of people ahead of us. Harry furrowed his eyebrows and looked over his shoulder signaling Ron over. I looked down at Kenzie and saw that I wasn't the only one who noticed this exchange.

she looked at me with her doe eyes and shrugged her shoulders.

Harry whispered something to my brother before he turned towards me and the sudden emerald orbs took my breath away slightly. he leaned in close and as he whispered his lips brushed my ear causing me to shiver and my eyes flutter shut "we are meeting in the common room at 11" he talked smoothly and collected, his full pink smooth lips just brushing my skin and he pulled away suppressing a grin realizing his effect on me. I glared at him. "douche" I muttered and he busted out laughing. "alright Kenz welcome to the Gryffindor Common Room!" I said as we stepped through the portrait.

she said her goodbye After she freaked out looking around and dashed up to her dorm.

everybody went up to their dorms and the common room was empty.

"hello baby" Harry said standing right in front of me and I smiled looking up at him "hello handsome" he grinned and picked me up by my waist and spun me around making me laugh before he set me down and my heart fluttered when his lips stretched out into a breath taking grin. "this year should be a whole hell lot interesting yeah?" he asked and I sighed leaning my head on his chest groaning. "this year is gonna suck" I sighed and he nodded rubbing my back. "wanna know what though?" i lifted my head from his warm chest and look up at him "i have you and you have me, and we have Hermione and Ron and Jax and Ginny and sirius,and we have the Weasleys, we dont have the whole world supporting us but we have our one world there, our family and friends, we arent alone, we are never alone" i felt my throat tighten and i nodded. this year is gonna be hell but at least i have them to help me, and how much of a hell can it be with Harry by myside?

i opened my mouth to speak when i heard Ginny "JOSLYN BLACK STOP SNOGGING YOUR BOYFRIEND AND GET UP HERE RIGHT NOW" Harry started laughing and i snickered "the queen awaits. ill see you in the morning" he nodded and he bent down kissing me for a brief second "goodnight love" "goodnight Harry" i then spun on my heel and ran up the stairs with a goofy grin on my face throwing open the door to our dorm. "WE ARE HOME!" i screamed and the girls all squealed.

i ran and jumped on my bed flopping on it. Mione was on her bed smiling like an idiot and Ginny was screaming lyrics to a song. i laughed looking around. the air felt familiar and the way that the moonlight cascaded through the windows was familliar and having my best friend and little sister next to me seemed familiar and i think thats when you know your home. When nothing feels off and everything is as familliar as the strokes of your favorite painting. Hogwarts was my favorite painting.
