Abel watched the young woman leave then who warned her that he planned to see her tomorrow. He had no time to waste on doing things the right way.

She did not want this union with the Lord and what's more he was Duke. The difference in title was such that he could not fight.
The banquet ended and he already had in mind who the century-old witch could be.

This coincidence was so perfect that it became real.
A woman from the south who seeks to go to the north precisely, what's more at a time when he finds himself in difficulty with his young mage Fiona and her incomprehensible illness.

Was she the one who hurt him? If yes, how ? Only six days had passed since the witch woke up. Plus she has no power, how can she hurt Fiona?

What if it was these miasmas?

Either way, she now found herself under his constant vigilance even if he took her to the place she was trying to reach.

He could not linger any longer in the capital and therefore had to complete this affair to return to the north. The question of the witch remained present, even if it was not her he intended to make arrangements.

The witch is not aware of what these powers can be found in and this leaves her with an advantage. Because he knew.

The next day, he arrived in front of the Credence family home and was welcomed by the Baroness.

-It is an immense honor to receive Duke Heilon in person in our humble abode.
-Enough . I have no time to waste. Where is Serena? She must have talked to you about why I'm here.

His face grew cold.

-I'm sorry, but Serena cannot see you at the moment.
-And why ?
-Young Aida fell ill and Serena stayed at her bedside, now she is ill too.

Something was wrong. Couldn't she heal herself directly? Besides, this woman didn't say all.

He looked at her again

-Where is his room?
-You see me sorry about it, but I can't tell you. Moreover, you and I must converse. I am his guardian.
-Even though she is no longer a child.

He passed her and entered the house to the cries of the baroness.

-You

He came across a servant

-Show me Serena's room right away.

The servant, surprised and somewhat frightened, showed him the room before running away.
Abel felt like his heart was heavy. It looked like he was going to hate what he saw.

First he knocked on the door.

-GET OUT!!

The message was clear. He pulled the handle before entering. His head narrowly avoided a vase if it scratched his cheek.

-I TOLD YOU TO GET AWAY!!

Abel was finally able to see her and so was she. She was dressed in a rather transparent white dress, her long hair disheveled with traces of red which made him tilt. Her face was bathed in tears as she realized who was standing in front of her.

Serena leaned back. If the witch had explained to her the agreement made with him, she did not expect to see him show up in her room, especially not at a time like this.

Abel approached the young woman who backed away before hitting a basin on the ground forcing her to turn around which gave the duke the opportunity to see her back.

-Who the hell did this to you?!

The young woman's back was bloody, showing traces of a whiplash.
Had she been beaten? He couldn't believe it.
