The next day, Serena couldn't sleep a wink.
Once the sun rose, she wandered around the castle without any real purpose.

She realized that she hadn't even begun to research what the witch had asked her.
Too caught up in a whirlwind of feelings, she had completely forgotten this story. As if above his head did not reside a countdown.

-Lady Serena?

Serena turned around to see Carda smiling at her.

-Hello Carda.. it's very early.

The middle-aged woman smiled at him.

-I return the remark to you, young Lady. Do you want to eat something?

Serena nodded negatively.

-It'll be okay, I'm not hungry.

Carda continued to look at the young redhead. She seemed elsewhere.

-My Lady... it turns out that I have to talk to you about something...

Serena focused her pink eyes on Carda's silhouette.

-What is it ?

-It's about your duties as a future Duchess. Although you are not yet engaged, it will be soon and it is time for you to start studying the different missions and duties of a Duchess.

-Ah...

She had forgotten this aspect too. But Carda wasn't wrong. Whatever the underlying reasons, she nonetheless remained the future fiancée of the Duke of the North.

She thinks before doing something.

-You are right. It's time . I haven't had time to really familiarize myself with the castle so I don't really know where the library is. That's where I should start, right?

Carda looked at her.

-Yes... finally, we have already prepared the previous Duchess's office for you. You will have your lessons there directly. But it's true that you are not familiar with the castle! It's time to fix it!

Carda gave him a smile.

-But first, please eat a little, My Lady.

-Oh Carda.. I really have no appetite..

Carda gave him a pleading look.

-Please... I'm worried to see you like this...

Serena squirmed a little before giving up.

-OK very good

Carda guided Serena towards the dining room and asked her to wait before going to get breakfast for her.

Serena thought. The Duchess's office...she might be able to find something there. In addition, this will not change the fact that she will be able to go to the library afterwards.

Carda brought a hearty meal, much to Serena's chagrin.

The redhead forced herself to eat a little to please the old lady before finally giving up.

Carda took him to visit the castle then. The first place was the Duchess's office where she would have classes and where she would have to fulfill these duties.

It was large and had a nice view outward with large windows. Outside you could see a garden. Garden covered in snow at present.

There was a large table with books placed on it and a large black and blue chair. The colors of Heilon with White.
There was a fairly large bookcase filled with books as well as sofas and a small coffee table to accommodate guests.

After the office, they continued to visit and Serena tried to memorize everything she saw. Carda finally took it to the library and the young redhead could see how big it was.

She didn't even know where to start. This was proving to be a difficult task.

After visiting the interior, Carda suggested going outside. Serena had to go change and feared meeting Abel but that was not the case.

Carda insisted on doing the young woman's hair and the latter let her do it.

The old woman told him that it made her very happy to be able to take care of someone like that again. Since the Duchess and mother of Abel, Carda had not had to prepare anyone.

Serena was very beautiful and taking care of her was easy as it required little effort.
But the young woman was very independent and did not need Carda's help, but the redhead agreed to let herself be dolled up a little more often by Carda.

Once ready, they went outside and the cool air hit them instantly. The snow was very present offering a white view.

While walking, Serena met Abel who was accompanied by Geron.

Geron tensed up fearing what was going to happen as Carda greeted the Duke telling him that she is showing the young Lady around the castle.

Abel looked at the young woman before the latter bowed to greet him.

-Oh Geron! I just remembered something! Please come with me!

-Gné?!

In a way, it was better this way. Geron fled with Carda, who was sneering, not without receiving a dark look from Abel.

He ended up sighing looking at the young woman in front of him. She looked normal but had dark circles under his eyes and they were a little red.

It was Serena who broke the silence.

-Duke.. compared to yesterday..

-WOOF WOOF !!

Serena jumped and before she knew it, fell backwards from something she didn't immediately identify.

-No but ?! Abel began. Get out of there !

The thing was in fact a dog, a dog which began to lick the young woman's face.

This had the effect of making her snicker before finally bursting out laughing.

-Haha stop! Go please !

The dog stopped as Serena continued to laugh.
With closed eyes, pink cheeks and a wide smile on her face, Serena let a soft sound of laughter escape her.

Abel, who witnessed this scene at first in disbelief at the action of the dog, found himself contemplating the young woman.

"Adorable," was the word that came to mind.

Serena continued to smile as she sat in the snow stroking the top of the dog's head. A beautiful wolf-like dog with a white and brown coat. He had blue eyes and his tongue hung out as he looked at Serena with joy.

-Is that your dog? Serena asked.

Abel sighed

-Unfortunately..

As if he had understood, the dog looked at Abel with accusing eyes. Serena laughed at the sight.

Abel approached them and reached out his hand to help the young redhead get up.
Serena looked at her hand before taking it and standing up.

The dog continued to circle around Serena, visibly happy. The smile on the redhead's face was still visible as she looked at this animal.

She felt something on her cheek and looked up at Abel. He had brought a handkerchief to his face to allow him to wipe his face.

-Dry yourself. He said looking at the dog. He doesn't have the habit of jumping on basic people..

As she wiped her face, Serena continued to watch the dog. She frowned as she looked at him more intently.

Suddenly, those eyes widened as she looked at him stunned.

-Diamond...?

Abel's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the young woman.

-How do you know his name?

Serena's perplexed gaze met Abel's.

-How come my dog is here...?
