Jiyeon Kim, the unknown artist who wasn't known by anyone but the sea,her cozy cottage and the surrounding cliffs. Her passion for painting only came to life when she came across the beautiful sea in Harborvale.
From then onwards, the sea became her solo source of joy and comfort. She found everything she ever needed there, what more could she ask for?
That was until one day when she met him, the person she never thought she'll ever come across her entire life.
He started taking the place in her heart which she never wanted to give anyone.
"Come on, it's been four hours Ji, let's leave now please."he sulked, standing infront of her.
"One more hour it's about to be finished, leehan."jiyeon responded, her entire focus was on the canvas infront of her.
"You're saying this for the past 2 hours please."he said, walking away folding his hands on his chest.
"Ok ok don't sulk now, let's leave."she stood up following him from behind with a smile on her face.

"You can't even finish an icecream."he shook his head in disbelief.
"It's cold."jiyeon mumbled trying to take the smallest bite of her chocolate icecream.
"Ok I get it, icecream is supposed to be hot now y'all."leehan giggled taking a big bite from her icecream.
"Don't eat mine now."
She hit him from the side playfully to which he only giggled.
Their bickering continued in the icecream parlour for a while until it was night already.
"Ahh days pass by so fast whenever we hang out."
"Well yeah we are literally together for the past 6 hours but it feels like it has just been few seconds."jiyeon said, a hint of sadness in her voice.
"Here comes your poetic side."leehan tried changing the mood while still being his usual self.
"You're so annoying."
"Is that so?"he raised one of his eyebrows playfully.
"Yes without any doubts."jiyeon replied, her gaze wandering in every direction but him.
"Can you say that while looking in my eyes Ji?"his voice deepened abit.
Jiyeon didn't know why but this side of him always made her nervous or maybe something else.
"Ji, hello? Ji?..."he snapped his fingers infront of her face who was busy with her thoughts.
She snapped back into reality and without any second thought, started moving forward.
"Ji, come on take me with you, why are you leaving me alone, Ji..."leehan kept on mumbling as he ran behind her.

"Spill it already leehan we're literally sitting here for the past thirty minutes and you haven't said a single word yet."jiyeon was getting annoyed now.
They were there at their favorite cafe and that too at 7 in the morning. It was so unusual for him to call her this early in the morning and literally beg her to come to that usual spot of their meetings.
He was a night person so him calling her to meet at 7 in the morning was already unusual and cherry on top was him sitting without saying anything for the past thirty minutes.
He was just sitting there while fidgeting with his fingers as if someone had took his tongue away from him.
"Leehan, I swear if you didn't open your damn mouth in the next second I'm literally gonna kill someone."jiyeon's last string of patience was on the edge of breaking now.
"I-"
"You-"
"I-"
"Yes continue."she asked while looking in his eyes as if asking a baby to say his first word.
"I like someone."he whisper yelled and fixed his gaze on the ground immediately.
Jiyeon took a moment to process what he just said. He, her one and only best friend liked someone and was confessing it infront of her.
"You what?"jiyeon couldn't help but ask.
"I said I like someone, like a crush, in a romantic way you get it now."he shouted abit, his face red with shyness.
"Ok who?"she asked without herself even knowing.
"Um.."he hesitated.
"Yeah?"
"She lives next block infront of that icecream parlour."he somehow said, still looking down.
"Don't tell me-"
"Yeah it's her."his face was literally tomato at that moment.
"Since when?"
"A month."
"And you are telling me now?" Jiyeon shouted gaining the attention of the couple sitting nearby.
When everyone started looking in their direction, she stood up, bowed and apologized.
"I'm sorry I couldn't muster up the courage."
Jiyeon didn't know why but she felt something in her heart, something heavy. It wasn't like she had any feelings towards him or anything but then why it hurt when she heard that he had someone in his life and that's not her.
Was she jealous? Was it love? Well she herself didn't know but she choose to ignore her messed up thoughts at that moment.
Time passed by, he told her everything about her, his crush to be more exact but she didn't hear a single thing she was just lost in her own thoughts.
But the moment she looked in his eyes while he was still busy talking about her, she saw that sparkle in his eyes, that glow she never saw before and that's when she decided to gulp down every single thing in her heart and mind. She wanted nothing but his happiness and she didn't care if she'll get hurt that way, she just choose to stay quiet and go along with him for his happiness.

"She agreed Ji, she said Yes."he shouted, spinning jiyeon around like an excited little kid.
"I'm so happy for you leehan, Congratulations."she said with the biggest smile on her face even though another string of hope got cut off in her heart.

"Say Cheese,... Ji...Smile please."leehan said abit louder to get her attention who was in her own thoughts again.
They were hanging out with his crush or his girlfriend now to be exact. Jiyeon wasn't gonna lie she liked her, she liked her company, how she made him happy, her silly little talks, her personality but most importantly she liked how he smiled the brightest whenever they were together and that was enough to make her satisfied.
That moment she decided she'll try to move on from him, her unknown first love. That moment made her realize that love can make people do things they never thought they would ever be able to do. She was ready to let go of everything for him.
It was for the best, it was for his best. there was nothing else she could ask for but his happiness, her best friend's happiness.
"Cheese."she shouted with a smile on her face as they all posed for that memorable photo, the photo that'll carry different memories for all three of them.
Is it a sad ending?
