I stare at the text before nervously hitting what I thought was the regular call button. I begin to internally panic once the screen pops up and I see that it's ringing for a facetime call. I think about hitting the end call button before quickly realizing I'm too far in to back down and try to mentally prepare right as his face pops up on my screen.

"I guess someone must've missed my pretty face," He laughs and I soon realize he's still in his bunk.

I mentally curse at myself before laughing with him. "I'm going to be honest I genuinely meant to hit the regular call button, not the facetime one," I say as I set my phone up and rub my hand on my face.

"Totally," he says with a smirk.

"I could hang up right now," he stops me before I can finish.

"No! I mean there's no need for that, it happens. The buttons are pretty close together," he rambles.

"SIMP" I hear someone shout in the background before more light shines in and I can see his face more.

"Hey Folio," I laugh as him and Nicholas start bickering.

"See, she doesn't care. Hi Avery!" Folio sasses to Nicholas before excitedly waving into the camera with a goofy smile.

I watch Nicholas roll his eyes before shoving Folio away. We make some small talk before he has to start getting ready for soundcheck and I wish him luck tonight for the show. We hang up and I feel myself smiling like an idiot. What has my life come to?

Nicholas' POV

"Someone's in lo-ove," I look over and see Noah smirking at me.

"We've called once, I wouldn't call that love. Yes, I think she's gorgeous, but that doesn't mean anything's going to come of it. For all we know she's taken or isn't even into me, or men at all," I roll my eyes at the idiot I call my best friend.

He throws his arms up in defense. "I don't know dude, I don't think you guys would've hugged for that long if there wasn't at least a good indication of her being into you. All I'm saying is I haven't seen you this smiley or happy in a while and I don't want you to miss out on it because you're too nervous to take a chance."

I shake my head and continue getting ready. Is it really that obvious? Sure, I've talked to the guys about my little crush. Noah's not completely wrong about being more smiley and shit, but sometimes things are better left unsaid. Am I going to admit that he's got a point? No, I'll keep denying it. He doesn't need more of a reason to keep teasing me, let alone having Jolly and Folio joining in on it.

I smiled to myself thinking about her, glad that she did get along with everyone last night. I changed from my pajamas and met the boys outside to head to sound check.

Third Person POV

Both Avery and Nicholas were content in their current positions. Neither could stop thinking about the other. As the days went on, they continued to text one another consistently. Avery telling him more about herself and how her days were going at the cafe and Nicholas telling her about his days and things him and the boys would do and try on their days off. The tour eventually came to a close and soon enough the boys would be going back home, Noah and Jolly to LA, Folio to Maryland, and Nicholas to Virginia.

Avery could sense on their calls that although Nicholas was exhausted from the constant travel, he was a little bummed with just how quickly it had gone by. Avery had just gotten home from a shift at the Café when her phone buzzed in her pocket. She smiled to herself as she sat on the couch, already knowing it was Nicholas texting her letting her know his flight went good and he had landed in Virginia.

She hopped on a call with Sara and Riya as they were planning on all meeting at Avery's house to hang out, seeing as she was living in the middle of the two girls. They confirmed their flights and Avery would pick both of them up at the Pittsburgh Airport in a week. Riya would land first and wait until Sara would arrive about an hour and a half after her. As exhausted as Avery was from working a bunch of doubles to make up for what she took off, she was ecstatic to be reunited with her closest friends once more.

Thankfully with Sara and Riya also living more North, they knew to pack warmer clothes as well so they wouldn't just be taking clothes from Avery. Soon enough the day came and Avery got in her car and made her journey to the airport. When she pulled up to pick up her friends, they were all ready to go after loading their bags into the car. They didn't bother fighting over the passenger seat as they knew they were only going straight back to the apartment. They stopped at a random McDonald's and grabbed some food before heading back and catching up once more.
