Chapter 4

It started snowing Renesmee was 6 or 7 years old looking now which had us worry so Bella took Renesmee out to play in the snow Jacob along with her as I was dressed in winter cloths and standing outside seeing my breath on in the air telling me it was cold. I was about to turn when out of nowhere a snowball came and hit me in the back I snapped around fast and saw Emmett with a smirk on his face. Before he could react, I quickly made a snowball and threw it at him hitting him in the face before the whole hour and the whole family joined in It was Rose, Alice, Esme and I against Jasper, Carlisle, Elliot, and Edward. With vampire speed snowballs were being thrown back and forth at a fast pace. I didn't see Carlisle sneak over before he grabbed me causing me to squeal as we both fell to the floor me on top of him, I looked down at him and placed a kiss on his lips the kiss started to get heated when a snowball came and hit me in the shoulder "Ew, mom, not now" Em said causing us to laugh as we continued our snowball fight.

It was about 5pm when Bella entered the house with Renesmee with worry on her face "Bella what's wrong?" I questioned as Renesmee ran to me and quickly picked her up and placed her on my lap. "I saw Irina, but she ran off before I could talk to her" she said I looked confused on why she ran I looked to Carlisle who was already calling the Denali's when the call ended Carlisle spoke "Tanya convinced lrina to come reconcile with us." he said I still didn't understand why she ran away "It looks like she changed her mind." he thought I thought about it, no that can't be right I know Irina I thought. "Seeing Jacob must have been too much for her." Esme said I thought about it "Maybe" I said still unsure. "Wish I could have just spoken to her." Bella said I placed a hand on her shoulder offering her a smile which caused her to smile back before making my way into Carlisle's arms.  "She's family. She'll come around." Carlisle said I hugged him close having a feeling something isn't right.

Irina's Pov I made my way into the old castle the creak from the door giving me an eerie feeling. I walked to where the doors to the kings were ignoring the lady who called for me. "Ah, what a surprise" Aro said with a smile I nod eyeing them unsure if I should say "What do you want? Mm?" I thought for a moment before responding "I have to report a crime. The Cullens... They've done something terrible." I said Aro's smile went away before coming close "Allow me, my dear" Aro said I placed my hand in his as he saw what I saw. Before pulling away "Oh my" he said looking at me

We were all standing in the living room as we listen to Edward play when Renesmee came over and asked her dad if she could play with him which was sweet I thought. I cuddled with Carlisle smiling at both of them as they both play the piano Edward freezes slamming the keyboard as Alice drops the flowerpot. We all got up confused "What's wrong?" Carlisle asked. "The Volturi" she said we all looked confused as to why the Volturi would be in the vision I held Carlisle tight scared for what's coming. "They're coming for us. Aro, Marcus, Caius, the Guard. And Irina" she said we all looked to each other confused but also in worry "Why?" Carlisle questioned worried for his family Edward snapped his head to Bella "What did Irina see in the woods?" he asked, "We were just walking" she said we looked to her " Ness was catching snowflakes" Jacob said we looked at each other things finally snapping together before a pin dropped "Of course. Irina thinks Renesmee is an Immortal child" he said I held Carlisle tightly he looked down at me and smiled before kissing my forehead and walked towards the study us following.

"The immortal Children were very beautiful. So enchanting. To be near them was to love them. But their development was frozen at the age they were turned. They couldn't be taught or restrained. A single tantrum could destroy an entire village. Humans heard about the devastation. Stories spread. The Volturi were forced to intervene. 

Since the Children couldn't protect our secret, they had to be destroyed." he said I looked to everyone nervous I felt an arm wrap around my waste and calmed. "Their creators grew very attached and fought to protect them. Long-established covens were torn apart. Countless humans slaughtered. Traditions, friends, even families. Lost." he said it felt like you could see a vision of what happened as he explained "No, No! Mother!" she saw three blonde girls yelled my eyes filled with worry "So the Denali's' mother made an immortal Child?" Bella questioned still confused "Yes and she paid the price" he said hearing him say that the "price" but before I could think Bella spoke "Well, Renesmee nothing like those children. She was born, not bitten. She grows every single day." he said frustrated. 

"So can't you just explain that to the Volturi?" Jacob questioned Edward shook his head "Aro has enough proof in lrina's thoughts." he said my hands tighten on Carlisle shirt but stop feeling his hand on mine as we listened "So we fight" Jacob says standing up there was a silence before Jasper spoke up "Their offensive weapons are too powerful. No one can stand against Jane." he said, "Alec's even worse" Alice added "But we have a powerful witch" Jacob said everyone looked to me as I smiled shyly Carlisle looked nervous hearing his mates name off Jacobs lips not wanting them to find out about her and steal her. "Well then we convince them" Bella said giving options Edward scoffed at Bella "They're coming to kill us, not to talk." Hearing that the word kills, and death sends a chill up my spine. 

 "No, you're right. They won't listen to us. But maybe others can convince them. Carlisle, you have friends all around the world." Edward said looking to Carlisle who shook his head " I won't ask them to fight." he said "Not fight. Witness. If enough people knew the truth, maybe we could convince the Volturi to listen." I thought about it before responding I look up at Carlisle placing my hands on his shoulders "My love" I said getting him to look at me when his eyes were on mine I spoke "We can't do this alone I know I'm strong but baby this is too much for us "I told him my mouth wobbly from fear "We can ask this of our friends" I finished we looked to me and held my hand up to his lips and kissed it before nodding.
