Chapter 7

It was finally the day of the battle in a couple hours the newborns would be here and today was the day we would stop them. Edward, Jasper and Bella went to the clearing to figure out a plan which was to lore the newborns with Bella's blood to the clearing and also heard that Bella is going up to the mountains with Jacob since his scent covers hers.

I was in our room getting dressed in battle clothes I couldn't help but worry about this battle and knowing we could loose one of us to them and that unsettled me I felt lips on my neck and arms around my waist and was pulled back against his body "Are you okay my love?" Carlisle say's I nodded and turned into his arms my arms sliding around his neck hands sliding into his hair "I'm just worried about us and our family I don't wanna loose anybody" I told him hugging him he hugs me back "Nothing will happen today, we've trained a lot we have more experience in this life then they have we got this." he told me confidently I nodded "Okay" I nodded he smiled his charming smile at me which made my worries disappear before kissing me.

I was finished getting dressed I stared out the window my arms crossed and resting on each other when arms came around my waist "you look beautiful my love are you ready to leave?" he said kissing the side of my head "I am I have a feeling this will turn out well but I feel like something might happen" I told him my worries and he just smiled and comforted me.

We were standing in line formation in the field waiting for the newborns to come I looked to my family who looked at me and we all nodded to be safe I looked to Carlisle who looked at me before kissing my lips "Be safe" I told him he smiled "With you my love I'll follow you anywhere" he said I smiled "I know you will" I told him we both looked forwards when we heard the sounds of fast movement coming from the trees and saw the first newborn break out from the brisk trees first along with the rest of the newborns. Jasper lead the attack running head first into the newborns along with the rest of the family I shot myself into the air and blasted a red ball of mist at a group of newborns making them go flying their body parts going along with them. I landed on the ground running towards a newborn who had Rose pinned I shot out a red blast at the male newborn making him go flying before opening a portal and having him go through it and opening at another end when a wolf jumped at the newborn taking him into his mouth and ripping his head off. I look to my left and seeing the newborn dwindle my head shot to the left as I saw Carlisle pushed up against a tree a newborn having his hand around my mates neck. I sped to where Carlisle was grabbing the newborn by his neck flipping him around and snapping his head off. I went to Carlisle who pulled me into his arms I held him tightly, thinking I lost him for good.

I heard a growl and saw Jacob enter the field I searched the mind of everyone around but caught nothing of Victoria but when I looked deeper I felt her mind up the mountain. I turned to Carlisle who nodded to me I smiled before opening a portal and speeding through to where Edward was I came through the other end and saw Riley throw Seth into a tree the portal closed behind me as I threw Riley into a tree "My if it isn't Sam" he said sexually "I was going to come for you after this but looks like you came to me" he said "You are crazy, I'm happily married and I don't want anyone else" I told him my eyes narrowing my powers activating before slamming a blast at him and knocking him back words. He let out a growl and sped towards me pushing me up against a tree his hand holding my neck with his knee in between my legs separating them I cried out as I tried to get loose but nothing was working as I was struggling against a tree I saw Riley's head snap to the sides so did mine I used the distraction to escape causing me to flip over him my arm wrapping around his neck my hand on his head he cried out before I pulled his head off all you could hear was the wind blowing in the trees I looked around before speeding to Edward I got close and saw he two hugging I let out a sigh in relief that everyone was okay.

Edward snapped his head to me reading my thoughts before smiling we headed down the the field to meet up with the rest of our family I was worried that someone was injured but I looked at each one of my family and sighed happily as I ran to Carlisle who held his arms wide and wrapped around my body when it met his and hugged tightly pulling away he placed a hand on my cheek "Your so beautiful I am glad your safe" he said with a smile I nodded my eyes closing as I rubbed my cheek against his hand he leaned his face down and placed a kiss on my lips. We pulled away and smiled I went and greeted the rest of my family making sure everything was fine. Which it was until I heard Edward yell causing our heads to snap to the left and saw Jake running at a newborn as did Leah but Jacob was faster but the newborn got his arms wrapped around Jake and snapped his bones and reverted back Carlisle sped to Jake as the rest of us watched. "The left side is completely shatter" Carlisle said "They can't be here we won't last against the Volturi" Edward said "We will take him back to Billy's" Sam the alpha said as the pack went and picked Jake up "I'll be there soon" Carlisle said before joining us once the wolves were gone we waited at the field fog appearing in the clearing and in the fog you saw three bodies walking. Carlisle held me close everyone on edge "It seems you have done our job for us Alec and Felix stop and stand behind Jane. "Impressive, I've never seen a coven escape and assault of this magnitude. "We were lucky" My mate said Janes eye's snaped to his "I doubt that. "It seems we missed an entertaining fight." Alec said Jane nodded "Yes, It's not often we're rendered unnecessary. I held Carlisle arm tightly nervous of the intense atmosphere "If you'd arrived a half hour ago, you would've fulfilled your purpose." Edward said Janes face went stern and with smite she responded "Pity" I saw her eyes look around at each of us before landing on the newborn who was behind us but then was hidden behind Jasper. "You missed one" Jane said " We offered her asylum in exchange for surrender. "My mate responded in a calm manner "That wasn't yours to offer" Jane said jane started to move closer to Bree I looked to Carlisle who shook his head which I nodded "Why did you come?" Jane used her powers causing Bree to scream "Who created you?" Jane question Esme stepped forward "you don't need to do that. She'll tell you anything you want to know" Esme said pleadingly Jane smirked "I know"

 we waited for an answer the silence you could cut it with a knife "I don't know Riley wouldn't tell us. He said our thoughts weren't safe Jane not liking that answer zaps her again. "her name was Victoria. Perhaps you knew her" Edward said "Edward if the Volturi Knew of Victoria, they would have stopped her Isn't that right Jane?" My mate said "Of course. Felix" we saw Felix move to Bree "She didn't know what she was doing. We'll take responsibility for her. Give her a chance." Esme pleaded I looked down knowing Jane wouldn't change her mind "The Volturi doesn't give second chances. Keep that in mind Caius will be interested to know that she's still human." Jane said but Bella quickly responded "The date is set" Jane looked at Bella taken back at her confidence her eyes linger on Bella before snapping to Felix "Take care of that Felix I'd like to go home. Felix smirks as he grabs Bree we all just stood there as we heard Bree scream before the sounds of limbs snapping and then nothing. We looked back to Jane "Thank you Felix. Until next time" she said as they turned away and sped off. Everyone turned and hugged each other in comfort before we all went home.

We were all back at the house besides Carlisle who was at Billy's taking care of Jacob I was in mine and Carlisle room sitting at my desk going through paper work not focusing on the sounds around me not hearing the door open before suddenly I felt arms wrap around my waist and pull me onto the bed where we just laid there in silence "What's wrong my love?" he said I turned my head to look at him "I just can't stop thinking about today" I said he smiled placing a hand on my cheek in comfort "With how powerful i am I couldn't save her" I said looking down he placed a finger under my chin and lifted it. "there was nothing you could do Jane was already going to do that" he said I looked at him and smiled "besides" he whispered "Your still a secret to the Volturi" he said with a cheeky smile I smiled too at that before he placed his lips on mine our soft kissed lasted for a minute before it turned aggressively "Now let me ravage your body my wife" he said placing kisses down my neck nipping spots here and there I giggled softly at that. Our night continued on with sweet love making forgetting the horrible stuff that happened today finally everything is back to normal or so I thought.
