Amber P.O.V.
Crying.
More crying.
Dear lord, how long can this girl cry?
Hazel has been crying ever since we left school today. Apparently, her 'perfect' boyfriend that she loved so much and would die for dumped her. Yeah, mhm, yep. She was crying over her boyfriend that she's known for like a week.
Personally, I don't date people I don't know, but Hazel... She's another story. She dates whatever cute guy happens to walk by.
"AMBER," the familiar voice of my mother screeched. "AMBER HUNNY, GET DOWN HERE." Okay, geez. You really don't need to yell when I'm in the room right next to you.
I casually walked out of my room to where my mother was cooking. "YES MOM?" I yell at her.
"Well, no need to yell."
"You're the one saying that... Anyways what do you want?" I asked whilst fiddling around with the corner piece on the counter-top.
She coughed before saying, "You know that nice boy? Hm, what was his name again?" I was vaguely becoming interested in what she had to say. "Eli? No, it was something like Anthony. You know, the attractive fellow you always used to hang out with."
By then I began to blush. Attractive? "Aidan?" Sure, he was something but would you really call my ex-boyfriend attractive?
"Yes, the charming muscular guy." By that, I exited the room with the biggest blush ever.
Aidan's back... Oh my god I can't believe this.
I pushed my head into my surprisingly lumpy pillow and groaned.
Let me tell you, there are reason why me and him broken up, such as him cheating on me... But now, now of all the times for him to come back. When I had finally forgotten about him. How did my mom even know he was coming back, especially before I knew?
"Bitch, hell no!" Jake said with the utmost disgust. "Apples are way better than pears."
Jake has no idea what he's talking about obviously.
"I can't believe out of all the people in this world to think pears are better than apples, it had to be you, Amber, one of my best friends..."
He was really upset about this.
I was now trying to contain my laughter before saying, "Jake, Jake, Jake, Jake. My bow tie wearing friend," yep. He wears bow ties. "You obviously have been through some traumatic experiences that have probably messed up your brain. Because pears, are so much better than apples." His smile dropped.
Call me crazy, but they are...
I was walking alongside Joanna, we were tight, yo'. Yeah, I'm never doing that again...
We emerged into Mr. Finch's classroom just in time. We took our seats and listened to our morning lecture about social studies and yada yada yada.
Class passed by slowly. We didn't really do anything but we sure listened. We weren't aloud to sleep because Mr. finch would start going on and on about how kids in his day would get the trusty ol' ruler.
Finally it was lunchtime. I forgot to pack a lunch today so... I guess I would be hanging out instead of eating. Wow I feel really tired and hungry.
"Bitch! Sit over here." Jake yelled across the room. Knowing my shy demeanor, this made me extremely embarrassed.
Damnit Jake...
"Yeah, bitch!" Joanna said.
"Joanna, we do not have that kind of friendship! " I grinned while saying this.
I walked over to where Jake was sitting along with Joanna and Aliah, who is another friend of mine. I sat on the table because, psh, chairs are for losers.
"Where's your lunch?" Aliah asked me.
"I dunno'."
I'm so good at lying, tehe.
"As in you forgot to make one?" She stared at me with a smirk.
"Precisely."
Soon the rest of the people I happen to call my friends crowded around the table. Yeah I'm really cool so that's why they had to squeeze in.
Just kidding, I'm not that cool and there's only six of us.
Me, Jake, Aliah, Joanna, Dylan, and Aidan.
Whatatatat...?
"Hey Amber."
"What an asshole." Joanna said.
Aliah started, "He is such a jerk, I can't believe he had the nerve to even... To even approach you!"
It wasn't that bad, I mean I wasn't mad anymore. I was just disgruntled. I mean, he was a good friend, until we began dating.
"Amber I need to talk to you"
"Okay... About what?"
"I- I'm sorry but this just isn't working."
Staring blankly at him I tried to understand what he was telling me."Wha- what?"
So the rumors were true, huh. He really was cheating on me with my sister.
"Amber, Amber..." Joanna cried out.
I groaned punched her shoulder. Haha, that's what you get for interrupting my flashbacks.
I never really did forgive my sister for what happened. But what can I say, she was a cheerleader and he was a bad boy.
"Amber." Someone behind me poked my arm. "Can we talk?" It was Aidan.
No.
"Sure."
We walked upstairs into an abandoned corridor. I looked around, not realising how different it looked vacant.
We came to a halt before he began talking, "Amber, I can't stand the thought of you hating me, remember when we were friends? Can't we forget about what happened after that and focus on now?"
Wow.
"How do you expect me to forget that we dated, and what you did to me? You want me to forget all of that and pretend nothing happened but I can't, it just doesn't work like that." I said warily, trying to keep my voice steady. His face fell, it hurt me to see him upset. If it were any other person, I would have tried to make them feel better.
"'Amber, I miss you, at one point I would have called you my best friend," he then paused and looked down the hall. "But you've obviously replaced me."
I assumed he was referring to Jake.
I shook my head and began to walk away but he grabbed my arm.
"Wait..." He said. But before he could continue, I shook off his arm.
I kept my head down low before walking back down to look up and see Joanna sucking faces with Dylan.
What?
