Aidan P.O.V.

I was wrestling with myself, Amber, she was killing me. I didn't know what to do, Jake just... Why would he make the same mistake I had made?

Cracking my knuckles feverishly, anger seemingly bursting at the seams, a knock was heard.

"Aidan? Aidan, are you home?"

My face paled as I heard her disgustingly sweet tone, I growled harshly under my breath before straightening my posture. The sun showed behind the brown curtains.

The door was slowly opened by none other than me, I huffed before saying quickly, "what do you want?"

The challenging girl maneuvered her way into my home before sitting down on a plush seat. I bit my lip before following suit.

"Well, Aidan..." She began, I knew where this was going. "I need you to-"

"Stop!" I yelled. She visibly tensed after hearing my words spur out of my pursed lips.

"Just, stop; Sierra, I can't keep doing this." I gradually closed my weary eyes "I just can't."

Amber P.O.V.

The wind was billowing in my face as I made my way back home. I felt conflicted.

In all honesty, I had absolutely no idea as to what I wanted to do. Soon my feet were moving in a different direction. The wind was now brushing along the side of my face, flinging my hair across my eyes; making it hard to see my surroundings.

The crunching of gravel and the screams of the wind were all I heard now.

No teenagers. No bustling cars. Not anything.

For once, I felt at peace. I could just be alone and listen to the sweet sound of nothing.

Suddenly, rustling in the bushes was the only thing on my mind. I turned around frantically to face my intruder. "Hello?" I asked nervously questioning if that was really a good idea.

A large body emerged from the brush. I softened my gaze before turning away.

I could feel the emotions flowing back to what they once were as I immediately got ahold of myself. Why was this happening? I used to be such a confident and strong woman. No more crying.

I turned around, put a smile on my face, and fixed my posture. "Hello Joshua."

His mouth turned up in a smirk. God that smirk, it was so disgustingly perfect.

"Amber," he cocks his head to the side as he takes a seat on one of the fallen trees. "Long time, no see."

I wonder why.

"Yep," I sigh. My hands are gripping each other for support, I really didn't want to be here. But what else could I do? Run? I couldn't run forever.

"What do you want?" I muttered as I took a seat on one of the opposing trees.

"Well, I'm here to make a deal with you."
