"This...is...paradise!" Khaleia sighed as she perched her glasses over her face to block out the penetrating sun shining our way. In her left hand, she had a fruit smoothie prepared by one of the chefs slowly defrosting and melting away inside its signature glass.
I smiled and agreed with her with the nod of my head, "It is...Mexico is beautiful." I picked up my own drink which happened to be a lot more alcoholic and took light sips of it before returning my gaze out to the vibrating and pulsing sparkling blue oceans. Some of the girls were taking strolls along the beach where our villa resided, others were out shopping and checking out the scene of the foreign country.
I was taking it easy since I had spent the last 2 days going up and about, even though I didn't do much there was a lot of walking done and it tired me out, I just wanted to stay at the villa and relax, drink, and maybe take a swim before I decided if I wanted a spa treatment or not.
"So are you excited for college this year?" I asked her curiously as I took another fruitful sip of my drink.
Khaleia shrugged, "I'm just happy to be out of high school after being contained in that hell hole for 4 years." She complained.
I smirked, "I'm sure it wasn't that bad." I said to her; I thought about my high school experience, I wasn't too fond of being there when I was so busy with my upcoming money and companies, but I did enjoy the experiences I had with Cara and Kobie; I would always remember the crazy things we all did together as a group...it was sad Kobie was always traveling and never in New York to hang with us like we used to, but he promised me he would be here for the wedding.
Khaleia pulled back her Gucci ultra-light aviators that I gifted her a month ago, just because I could and gave me a sour look. "Val...you must have not been listening to me when I was ranting on the phone with you last time we spoke...remember the girl Vanessa?" She asked.
I scratched the back of my head in confusion, damn...it was hard keeping up with all the names she usually spat at me whenever she called me at my workplace. "Um...is she like your ex-best friend or something?" I asked her hoping that was the right answer.
She made a disgusted face, "Close...I don't like her either, she's a man stealer...but Vanessa she's like my friend-enemy." She explained.
I arched my eyebrow, "Friend and enemy?" I asked her.
She nodded her head energetically, "Yeah...it's like the saying keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer...that slut-." I gave her a look.
"Pardon my French." She stated, "That beautiful young individual is a snake...I know she's only friends with me because I get the hook-ups from my cuz-cuz." Khaleia nudged her elbow at my side and I pushed her arm away playfully, "What do you mean? So she secretly hates you or something?" I asked her.
She nodded, "I know she talks smack behind my back, but she's all friendly in my face...I need her close so I could watch her deceiving ass-." I gave her another look.
"I can't help it, Val, she just brings out the worse in me." She frowned and sipped her smoothie as she thought to herself lightly.
"I even brought her along to the graduation trip to Dubai with me and she was linked to me like a leech." She hissed.
As a graduation gift to Khaleia I also happened to gift her a week and half of paradise and luxury in none other than luxury capital; Dubai with the choosing of her friends; they got my jet round-trip and I even slipped Khaleia one of my black cards for whatever she wanted to purchase; as far as the Instagram posts and the multiple calls I received from her she seemed to have enjoyed it, although I didn't think it was much.
