A/N: The house in the media section of the page is Valeria's Mansion in Barbados located in St. James. I also was feeling Aayliah a lot when I was writing this chapter so I hope you enjoy "Rock the boat"!

"And then BAM! There's Maxim with flowers and he surprised me with a flash mob!" Laudia continuously told stories about how Maxim "surprised" her with many things from Valentine's Day to birthdays. I'm pretty sure everyone and their mother was getting tired of hearing Laudia talk because I sure as hell was.

"Do you guys want to hear another story?" She asked the table; they all collectively jumped at the chance to say no.

Laudia frowned, "I thought you were all enjoying it." She pouted innocently as if she wasn't the spawn of the devil himself.

Maxim rubbed her shoulder in a comforting manner, "Dee-Dee...how about you give the stories a rest and give Val and Nicolas here a chance." He said turning around and giving me his full attention; I wanted to shoot myself at that point...I didn't want their attention besides talking about Nicolas and I was like eating raw meat, it wasn't ready.

"I don't think you want to hear about us...we're not that special." I said trying to push the attention off of us.

Nicolas looked over at me with an arched gaze, "Do not sell our relationship short, angelo." Nicolas blandly said in Italian.

I furrowed my brow, "What do you purpose I say then?" I asked him in his native tongue.

His lips formed a line before he spoke again. "That our relationship is like smelling flowers and dancing on rainbows." He joked.

I rolled my eyes playfully at him. "I think the more appropriate term for us is, unique." I turned my vision lightly to Laudia and Maxim who were gazing at us with curious looks, obviously having not a clue we were saying in Italian...Maxim was never a man of languages, since I was always helping him with it.

Nicolas stroked my face with the palm of his hand and spoke. "I don't like your male friend over there...he seems like a jerk." He confessed to me.

I sighed deeply feeling the warmth of Nicolas's hand radiate against my face. "I know that first-hand, Nicolas. My father warned me about him when we were dating...daddy's always right." I whispered to him.

He gave me a long look probably trying to figure out the hidden meaning behind what I said but I decided to do some inquiries in Laudia and Maxim's lives instead of waiting for him to figure it out.

"So...Maxim what do you do now?" I asked him curiously. It's been so long since I last saw him which was the day my aunt and I moved to New York and he was a young kid by then...only 14, now he was 27.

Maxim piped up once he realized that Nicolas and I have finished our foreign conversation. "I'm a lawyer...I work at a firm in Boston." He answered in a proud tone.

Laudia smiled as if I were to be impressed by his accomplishment, "The best firm in Boston by the way." She chimed in.

Did she ever stop? She reminded me so heavily of Nilly right now, it was a good thing when Cara and I came back from our Hamptons trip, the same week Nilly asked to hang out with us and we literally cut her off. We didn't want to be anywhere near her or her presence...she could go and fuck up somebody else's day somewhere else.

"What firm is that?" I inquired.

"Ropes & Gray." He replied.

I nodded, "Oh...I have friends there, do you know Rudy?" I asked him.
