Chase suddenly slammed on the brakes, and although he still hit the ground, he wasn't seriously injured. He stood up and walked towards the scattered remains of the air balloon. His eyes were teary, and he could barely see.Chase: SKYE! SKYE!
Chase began searching for the girl, but he couldn't find anything.
Ryder: Chase. Chase! CHASE! Can you hear me?
Chase: Y...y...yes.
Chase tried not to cry as he saw the girl's body. Tears streamed down the boy's face.
Ryder: Chase, is everything okay?
Chase didn't answer; he just sat there. He sat and tried to process that the one he loved more than anything in the world was no more.
Ryder: Chase, answer me!
Marshall: What happened?
The pups were descending towards the ground.
Ryder: I don't know. I'll find Chase. You secure Mayor Goodway and the others. Meet me at the Lookout.
Pups: Okay.
Ryder followed Chase's tracker. When he saw the German Shepherd, he landed and walked towards him.
Ryder: Chase... is everything okay?
Chase: S...she's gone... no...more...it's over.
Chase started crying with all his might. Ryder knelt beside Chase, pulled him close, and hugged him.
Ryder: It's okay. We'll get through this.
At the Lookout.
The pups took off their uniforms.
Rocky: I wonder where they are for so long.
Rocky glanced towards Adventure Bay.
Zuma: I don't know. Nothing bad happened, right?
Rubble: Let's not jump to conclusions.
Marshall: Rubble, you're right. Just be right.
The pups, except Marshall, went inside the Lookout and waited. Marshall started worrying, and a thousand thoughts and possibilities ran through his mind. The longer he thought, the more terrible his thoughts became.
Soon, Chase appeared in the distance.
Marshall: Chase? Where is Ryder and Skye?
When Chase landed, he couldn't look any of the pups in the eye. He just stared at the ground, struggling with tears.
Rubble: Where is Ryder and Skye?
Zuma: What happened?
Rocky: Please, tell me no one is hurt?
Marshall intervened.
Marshall: Enough. Let him speak. Is everything okay, Chase?
Chase didn't want to answer any questions. He just wanted some peace and solitude to process what had happened. A small tear escaped his eye, and the others couldn't interpret it as a good sign.
Marshall: Isn't it..?
Marshall placed his paw on Chase's shoulder and looked at the others. The three pups understood the gesture and went back into the Lookout. Everyone lay down on beanbags and thought in silence.
Marshall: What happened?
Chase: I...I want to be alone.
Chase stood up and walked towards his pup house. He entered and closed the door behind him. Inside, there were many pictures of him and the team. But there were also shared pictures with Skye. He lay down, but with every breath, he felt Skye's scent. He knew he would never forget, but he didn't know how to live without her. The pain was overpowering. Now, being alone again, he allowed the tears to take over. Soon, he cried himself to sleep.
Ryder arrived shortly after. Entering the Lookout, he was met with questioning and sad eyes.
Ryder: I'm sorry. Katie did everything she could, but she couldn't save her. The funeral will be tomorrow.
The next day, Everest was already at the Lookout early in the morning. When she entered, Ryder greeted her with weary eyes.
Everest: Hi, Ryder.
Ryder: Hi.
Chase was already awake but couldn't get up. He missed having Skye beside him. He couldn't embrace her, look into her eyes, or tell her that he loved her. Even in his dreams, he saw Skye before him. He couldn't overcome the thought that he could have saved her if he had been a little faster. But he couldn't, and now they could never be together. With difficulty, he gathered strength and went out of his pup house. He walked into the Lookout. When he entered, Ryder anxiously watched the emotionally shattered German Shepherd.
Ryder: Good morning. Is everything okay?
Chase nodded and walked away to pick up his pup pack and wake up the others. Everest silently observed Chase, understanding that he was experiencing a pain she could never fully comprehend. Chase stood outside the Lookout.
Chase: Ruff megaphone... Good morning! Breakfast. Ruff, off.
Chase's voice wasn't loud even in the megaphone, but the pups woke up. Breakfast went by quietly. Chase, unusually, finished first, having barely eaten two bites. He couldn't swallow more. Ryder started to worry about him doing something reckless.
After everyone finished eating, they dressed in black and headed to Skye's funeral. Chase completed the ceremony first for a change, as he had hardly eaten two bites. He couldn't swallow more. Rider began to worry that he might do something reckless.

After everyone finished eating, they dressed in black and headed to Skye's funeral. Mayor Goodway started the ceremony with a speech.
Mayor Goodway: Dear gathered, we are here to commemorate a hero. And though it hurts to say it, this hero is none other than Skye. She flew, she saved, but her eyes never blinked. Many times, she saved me and Chickaletta, but on her last mission, luck wasn't on her side. Yet, life was still ahead of her. She loved everyone, and everyone loved her. She has surely found her place in heaven. Now, I'll give the floor to Ryder, the leader of the PAW Patrol.
Ryder took a deep breath and walked to the microphone.
Ryder: Skye was the third member of the team. She always strived to make us happy. She laughed continuously and was joyful. Unfortunately, her journey came to an end. If she were here now and could say something, it would probably be that we should remember her happily and not cry for her. Life has presented many challenges, but this is the greatest one so far. In the heart of the team, there remains an unfillable void that time will not be able to fill. You live on forever in our hearts.
After the funeral, some people approached the grave and placed flowers, letters, and small tokens. When the crowd dispersed, Chase sat down in front of the grave and read the inscription: "It's different if you like to fly or your life is flying." Chase placed his plush toy and, with bowed head, walked back to his car. The team waited, and they all returned together to the Lookout.
