Chase: Tomorrow marks a month since I came here, but Rider hasn't visited once. He probably couldn't. But when will I finally get home? I'm perfectly fine now. Why won't they let me go? Anyway, I'll think about that tomorrow.

With this thought, he ended his day and fell asleep. The thought of when he could go home started occurring to him more frequently. Every evening, Chase would fiddle with his tag and reminisce about the missions he participated in, the people he helped, the team he worked with, Skye's sweet smile as a reward after successful missions, Ryder's praise, the treats, the multitude of games, and the other dogs.

The next morning, he woke up and the day was already in motion. But not today. Today was different. When Chase stepped out of his room, he found himself face to face with Nurse Sharlot.

Sharlot: Good morning, Chase. You can go home today.

Chase froze upon hearing the news.

Sharlot: Ryder is waiting for you outside. We're glad you've recovered.

She stroked Chase's head and escorted him. When Chase saw Ryder, he ran towards him wagging his tail. Ryder knelt down and hugged him.

Chase: Ryder!

Ryder: Chase! I've missed you so much.

Ryder petted Chase's head and stood up.

Ryder: Thank you for everything.

Sharlot: It's our duty. Have a nice day.

With that, she turned around and went back inside the building.

Ryder: Can we go home?

Chase: Yes!

With that, Ryder hopped on his quad. Chase hopped on, and they set off. Chase enjoyed the wind, a sensation he hadn't felt in a long time. As they approached Adventure Bay, familiar smells and sounds welcomed them. Chase felt overwhelmed with happiness. He felt he could finally live again. Upon entering Adventure Bay, the familiar houses and people greeted them. The Lookout tower still stood tall on the hill. The team was lined up, eagerly awaiting Chase and Ryder.

Pups: Chase!

As they ran towards Chase, Marshall tripped and knocked everyone over.

Marshall: Sorry.

Everyone laughed. For the first time in a long while, Chase laughed, and it felt great. He almost forgot how it felt to be genuinely happy. In the morning, they played together, and the playful atmosphere was interrupted by Ryder's voice.

Rider: Pups, to the Lookout tower!

Pups: Rider's need's us!

In a few seconds, Chase reverted to his old self. When they arrived at the elevator, Marshall knocked everyone over again. Chase felt nostalgic, and the others just laughed. They went up, and one by one, they jumped out of the elevator. Chase stepped forward and spoke confidently.

Chase: Ready for action, Ryder, sir!

Then he sat back down. Ryder let out a brief smile before turning serious again.

Ryder: Good that you hurried. Farmer Yumi's sheep got loose. The mission is to round up the sheep, fix the fence, and lock the sheep back in. Chase, we need you for this mission. Are you ready?

Chase: Chase is ready to help wherever needed!

Ryder: Alright. We'll also need Rocky to fix the pen.

Rocky: Green light for repairs!

Ryder: Paw Patrol is on a roll!

The pups howled simultaneously, and Chase and Rocky slid down the slide into their vehicles. Chase happily sat in his vehicle, feeling a renewed sense of purpose. When they arrived, Chase worked energetically and flawlessly. He felt liberated and fulfilled. They finished the job quickly.

Farmer Yumi: Thank you, Ryder, and the pups.

Ryder: It was nothing.

Farmer Yumi: I'm glad to see you're better, Chase.

Chase: This month helped a lot.

They chatted for a few more minutes before heading back. Chase could finally enjoy the breeze, ruffling his fur. He relished the briskness that once symbolized life. He enjoyed everything related to PAW Patrol and Adventure Bay.

Chase: I'm well, and I'm happy. That's what matters most. I'm home, with my family.

These thoughts brought a smile to his face. When they parked, they headed to have lunch. After lunch, they sat under the big tree in a circle.

Marshall: Even though we've said it, we're glad you're back among us.

Zuma: Glad you're back.

Szelli: We're glad you've recovered.

When Szelli spoke, Chase thought of her. But he wasn't sad or angry. He was happy that someone reminded him of Skye. This way, he would never forget.

Rocky: We're glad you're doing your job perfectly again.

Rubble: Glad you're happy again.

Everest: Glad your guilt has passed.

Chase: Thank you.

They spent the entire afternoon chatting, teasing Chase about the month he spent away. They wanted to know everything, and Chase gladly shared most of his adventures. Then it was time for dinner. After dinner, while the team watched Apollo, Chase sat down by the Memory Monument. With a smile on his face, he looked at the small photo he had placed there.

Chase: I love you. I will love you forever. But I have to let you go. I won't cry because you're not here. From now on, I'll think of you with a smile and our beautiful memories.

At that moment, his tag flashed, and Rider's voice came through.

Ryder: Good night, pups!

Pups: Good night, Ryder!

Chase walked into his pup house, lay down with a smile on his face, closed his eyes, and embarked on the journey to the dream world. This was interrupted by a voice.

?: How can you be happy?
