It has been almost half a year since the Paw Patrol lost a member. Since then, Chase's condition has improved significantly, and he worked almost as energetically as before. It was just an average day for the team. They woke up, had breakfast, and went out to play in the yard. Although Chase still mostly observed the game, he smiled more and more.

Ryder: Paw Patrol, to the lookout!

Pups: Rider need's us!

The pups rushed into the elevator, went up, and sat in line in front of Ryder.

Chase: The Paw Patrol is ready for action Ryder, sir!

For him, saying this sentence in one piece was still impossible. But he did everything to perform well.

Ryder: Glad you hurried. Mr. Porter found a stray dog. Tired and hungry. Probably hasn't eaten or drunk for a long time. We need to help him.

Since they lost a member, they became even more vigilant about everyone. Even with the smallest problem, they acted as if they were preventing the end of the world.

Ryder: We'll need Marshall! You need to check if he's okay.

Marshall: Saving lives is my thing!

Ryder: Chase, we'll need you too. In case the dog tries to attack.

Chase: Chase is ready to help wherever he can!

Ryder: Alright. The Paw Patrol is ready for action!

They set off. They quickly arrived at Mr. Porter's restaurant, where the stray dog was. When Chase saw the stray dog, he froze. He couldn't do anything. Memories overwhelmed him, and he could only think of one name. The dog looked almost identical to Skye. Rider stopped next to Chase's car and put his hand on the German Shepherd's shoulder.

Ryder: Everything okay?

Ryder saw the resemblance just like Chase did. The boy nodded cautiously and took a deep breath.

Chase: Nothing's wrong... there's nothing wrong... of course.

Meanwhile, Marshall examined the dog, who turned out to be friendly.

Ryder: Hi, I'm Ryder. And these are Chase and Marshall.

He pointed to the pups behind him. The girl smiled kindly and responded.

Szelli: Hi, everyone. I'm Szelli.

Ryder: Nice to meet you, Szelli. Will you come with us to the lookout?

Szelli: Of course, gladly!

Ryder: Alright. Then hop on behind Chase.

Chase, although not happily, allowed Szelli to get on behind him, and they set off back. When he looked at her, thoughts of Skye came to his mind. Her voice, her colors, her eyes, and her kindness, sitting together and laughing in the fresh grass, snuggling up together on harsh evenings, the scent that Chase still felt in the air. A tear escaped his eye, unseen by anyone.

When they returned, Szelli introduced herself, and Chase retreated to his doghouse. With his ears laid back, he lay down and clutched Skye's old pillow while tears fell from his eyes. He felt like falling apart again, and the absence began to consume him from within. Someone knocked on the door of his doghouse, but he didn't pay attention.

Ryder: Chase. Dinner.

The boy said kindly and protectively. Ryder didn't want Chase to go through the same thing as after Skye's death. Chase wiped his eyes and opened the door. Ryder hugged him, and Chase started crying again. He couldn't hold back the tears caused by memories and the overwhelming sense of loss.

Ryder: I know it hurts... but... it hurts us too. It created an irreplaceable void. Szelli will never fill it, but you know that.

Chase didn't say anything, just cried. Slowly, he was ready for another breakdown. After a few minutes, he stopped crying and took a deep breath.

Chase: Do you want to include her in the team?

He asked in a painful tone.

Ryder: Chase, you know...

Chase: Do you want to include her in the team?

Ryder: It's not certain yet.

Chase: Yes or no?

More tears welled up in Chase's eyes, waiting to burst out.

Ryder: She could help the team a lot, and our work would be easier. You have to understand; I have to prioritize the team's interests.

The German Shepherd, holding back his tears, took two steps back and looked into his owner's eyes. There was seriousness and discipline on his face.

Chase: I understand. But I don't promise anything.

His voice was hoarse but serious. He headed towards the entrance of the lookout, with Ryder walking beside him. The pups were happy to see Chase join for dinner. After dinner, they sat down to watch the latest episode of "Apollo the Super Pup."

When it was over, everyone went to bed. Szelli rested in the lower part of the lookout. Chase didn't go to his doghouse but sat down where he confessed his feelings to Skye and where they first kissed. He looked up at the sky.

Chase: I'll never forget you. Your place will forever be only yours in my heart, and I won't let Szelli make me forget about you with the team. But I can't do anything to prevent her from taking your place. I just ask that you wait for me. I'll come up to you, and I'll keep loving you there, just wait until then.

He took a deep breath and let a tear drop from his eye onto the grass, plowed through his face. Then he smiled and thought of the beautiful memories. He felt someone watching him, but he didn't care. A few minutes later, he walked into his doghouse and went to sleep.
