Jenny's pov ~

I pulled up to my driveway, and got all my bags from the overnight stay at Avery's. I saw my brother on his video game not even giving me a hello, rude. I turn to the kitchen to see my mother baking, which is rare to see since she respectfully doesn't ever know what she is doing.

"Good morning ma'."

"Good morning my love, how was your day yesterday?"

"Wonderful." I said smiling.

"Great, also guess where I went yesterday."

I grabbed an apple and took a bite before saying where. I hate guessing, what's the point, I never guess correctly anyway.

"I went to visit Jessie and her daughter, which surprisingly was super close to where you're going to be staying. Anywho, I asked Jesse's daughter, Blake, to show you around since she's familiar with the area, and she agreed," my mother said.

"But ma' I haven't seen her in forever, it's going to be so awkward," I said.

"Awkward, my ass. What you mean, you would always give her random treats and gifts when you were little. You never left her side and cried for days when you found out they were moving," my mother said, rolling her eyes.

"Ma', that was when I was a child, I hardly remember anything now," I said frowning.

"Fine, sorry. You're right, I should have asked you first, I'll cancel it but I'm still giving you her number if you change your mind," she said.

"Yay, thank you."

~ A few days later ~

I was already on the road on my way to the apartment that I already leased. The apartment was only 10 minutes away from the college, and it was a gated apartment, I was honestly lucky. Luckily, I wasn't financially struggling and, therefore was able to get the apartment all to myself, even though I wanted a roommate later on since I didn't want to be lonely, but it wasn't my top priority.

My apartment contained a huge living room and kitchen, 2 bedrooms both having bathrooms and mid size walk-in closets. My favorite thing about it is that the house colors were neutral, giving a modernist look, which I enjoyed since it looked simple and clean.

I remember my mother telling me something about meeting up with Blake. Gosh, I remember her being so beautiful although, I don't remember what she looked like, I still knew deep inside she was beautiful. I mean I do have her number, maybe I should give her a call to know the best places around the area. Never mind, she is most likely busy and doesn't remember me too, and won't like spending her time with a stranger.

~

I arrived at the parking lot of my new apartment and saw a raven-black, straight hair woman standing by her car just scrolling on her phone. I don't remember seeing anyone this hot in my entire life. I highly doubt she's my neighbor since she is standing there looking like she's waiting for someone. I saw a man go up to her and hug her, I go back to getting my packed boxes while rolling my eyes, genuinely annoyed she was taken. Wait, am I actually jealous of a stranger?! I've never been jealous. Nope not possible. I'm just going to go inside my place and make some tea, it's probably just the nerves and stress from the move.

I got home, made my tea, and decided to unpack everything the next day since I was still genuinely annoyed from earlier. Luckily I had all my furniture already set up, so after my tea, I decided to just sleep.

I woke up the next morning with a text from "Blake", I was confused but then remembered my mom putting in her contact on my phone for me.

Blake: Hey, this is Blake. Your mother let me know you won't be free anymore but I just wanted to give you my number in case you ever have trouble.

Me: Alright, thank you.

I turned off my phone after sending that message and decided to shower and get ready to go out. I know I should be doing some unpacking but I have all the time in the world for that. For now, I just want to go see where the grocery stores and study spots are at.

After coming back home, it was already sunset and I had a car full of grocery bags and extra boxes with kitchen appliances to get into the house. After my second round back to the car I had one last box and as I lifted it up I saw an expensive-looking Black Rolls-Royce pull up. I saw the same beautiful lady with the same man she was with the other day. I rolled my eyes, and as I was about to leave but stopped as soon as I heard an angelic voice.

"See you tomorrow dumbass," she said.

"You better not meet up with that woman just because she gave you her number. She could be a kidnapper!" The man yelled.

At this point I was just pretending to clean my car since I couldn't get enough of her voice.

"Fine, fine. I won't, but you better promise me you'll stop talking to that disrespectful cheating ass dick, then we'll be even."

"Trust me, I am super over him and all his bullshit. Anyways, drive safely and see you at work, bye" he said.

As they both left, I was left there grinning from ear to ear. I at least now knew I did have a chance with her, but sadly she still wasn't my neighbor. But I swear, next time I see her, I'm going to ask her out.
