CHAPTER 24: Diner

Jenny's POV

"Jenny" I faintly heard. "Jenny~ you have to get up."

I open my eyes to see Blake sitting on the edge of the bed, "Too early, let me sleep in." I close my eyes and open them realizing now I wasn't in the couch anymore, "Wait how am I in your room? Where's my mom and your's?"

"Good morning to you too." Blake gives me a peck on my forehead, "I brought you here last night after the movie, I slept in the guest room since they were still somehow awake. They left this morning for their morning walks, but they want us to get ready to go out to eat."

"It's super early though" I complained.

"It's already 11, and we have to meet up with them by 12 at Teddy's Diner. I left you a new change of clothes in the bathroom. I'll be downstairs, when you're ready" Blake says as she leaves the room.

I was in shock hearing the time, I've always been a morning person, no matter what time I slept the night before. Must be Blake's scent, it's relaxing in a way that I could stay here all day. But I eventually dragged myself off the bed and to the bathroom.

After driving for 20 minutes, we finally made it to a small retro diner that seemed empty. Through the windows I already see Jessie, and my mother there enjoying, what seemed to be smoothies.

"Good morning" I announced as I get closer to them.

"Good morning" they both said in sync.

"Honey, I'm sorry but I have to leave, my boss called me in today. I was just waiting for you to come so I can give you a proper goodbye." my mother says, getting up from the seat, giving me a hug.

I hug her back, feeling heavily disappointed. Although I choose to move away, I still deep down miss both my mom and brother. "Thank you for coming. I'll visit you and Nick soon, during holidays." I said, making her nod.

"I'll be leaving too, to give her a ride back to her car. We already ate before you guys got here, so enjoy your guy's meals." Jessie said, giving me a hug.

"Goodbye, Ms. Colls. Have a safe trip back home." Blake said extending her arm for a handshake.

"Come here" My mother pulled Blake in for a hug, "I better see you during holiday's too. Thank you for taking care of my Jenny, I can tell how much you truely care for her."

"I'll try my best to make it, and it's no problem, she really isn't much of a troublemaker." Blake said, making my mother smile.

We said our final goodbyes, and they both left leaving Blake and I alone at the booth.

"You okay?" Blake asked.

"Yeah, just a little sad that I won't be seeing her until a month from now."

"Time will go by fast, but if you ever get lonely, I'll be there." Blake said, holding my hand, reassuring me.

I smile and relaxed, feeling relief after hearing that she'll be by my side.

"Let's order. Ou, I know what will make you feel better." Blake called out for the waiter, "Can I please get 2 strawberry smoothies with the French Toast special, and 2 chocolate chip cookies."
