Blake's Pov

"So, you're here." Becca states the obvious, looking me up and down.

"Yeah, no shit." I remark.

"And there's that attitude I missed." I didn't reply back, "Oh don't be so mean, we were such good friends" she frowned.

"We were, until you disappeared and ignored my messages for a year."

Genuinely, I don't care anymore but I'm not going to act like it didn't happened.

"It's been years, get over it. Plus you can't blame me, you rejected me and I needed space... By the time I got over you, years passed and I felt no need to reach out."

I rolled my eyes, "I don't even care anymore," I huffed out. "So what do you want now?"

"To have a nice chat with you." She smiled, leaning on the counter on her elbows, resting her head on the palm of her hand. "I missed seeing you and you clearly did well for yourself."

I scrunched my face, "Don't make me barf."

"Oh don't act so disgusted. Remember, you're the one who would run to me when you wanted to practice..." she winked.

I remembered, she was my first kiss and the furtherest things we've done was make out.

I was naive and got pulled in by her persuasiveness. It's not that she's necessarily a bad person, in fact I wished her nothing but the best and I still do; It's just she's the type who only cares for herself. Even if you're her closest friend she would drop you in an instant if there was something else that interested or benefited her more, best way to describe her, a narcissist.

Jenny walks up to me before I could reply, "They want to play air hockey and I need a teammate." She grinned, mischievously.

And once again, before I could respond, "I'll do it." Becca says walking out from behind the counter with a big smile looking at Jenny, "You don't mind right? It'll be a great opportunity getting to know each other."

"I don't mind, it's fine by me." Jenny says with a soft smile.

"Well, you can't just leave work whenever you want,"I finally spoke out.

It was just like her, even in high school she would ditch almost every day but not once did she get caught or in trouble and her grades stayed A's and B's.

"Oh don't be so uptight Bly. I'm taking my lunch break now."

Becca swings her arm over Jenny's shoulder, walking away, "You can stay here if you'd like but me and Jenny are going."

I narrowed my eyes at her and followed behind them taking her arm off Jenny, walking between them now while Becca lowly laughed.

As we walked up to the table, Jenny and Becca stood together at the end of the table while I stood against the nearest wall.

Joey raised an eyebrow with an unamused expression, "You're playing Bec?"

She hums and nods, "Why scared you'll lose to your big sister?"

Joey scoffed and starts the game.

"Remember how much fun we'd have in arcades Blake?" Becca randomly says during the game.

"No, I don't." I quickly answered, making her hum.

Becca lightly bumped her hip to Jenny's, "She was the worst at playing, even till now I haven't met anyone worst."

I clenched my jaw and bite my inner cheek to avoid saying anything I'll regret and ruin the day for everybody.

"Just play the game Bec, you're obviously the one losing now." Joey said annoyed, making me smile.

The boys ended up winning.

"To be fair, I rarely play this game." Becca says in defeat.

They played again, this time Jenny and Becca winning, giving each other a high five.

"See, we do make a great team!" Becca smiles and Jenny reciprocates.

Just then an old baldy man called out to Becca looking angry.

"Busted... guess I should get going now," Becca says putting on her white and blue apron, while she continues to talk with Joey and Nick.

Jenny comes over and takes my hand, "You okay?" she whispers.

I smile and nod, "I'm fine. Just a little bored without you, is all." I whispered back, making her smile.

"See you both soon!" Becca calls out causing us to turned to her and her eyes traveled down seeing us hold hands, and her eyes widen with smile.

Jenny pulls away and waves her off, "Nice meeting you!"

She hums and nods before turning to leave.

The rest of the evening was just us four, peacefully playing games together. One of them being bowling; I won first place, Joey second, Nick and Jenny were tied.

After arriving home we were all spent. Nick decided to sleep over at Joey's while Jenny and I went to our separate rooms to take showers and get ready for bed.

It was nearing ten so I sent Jenny a good night text before doing some work on my laptop on the bed.

A few minutes later the doorknob turned and Jenny slipped inside closing it behind her, making a face hoping she doesn't get caught from the floor creaks.

She sits besides me and rests her head on my shoulder and I kissed the top of her head. We sat in silence as she watched me grade some homework.

"So, how do you know Becca?" she asked abruptly but in a curious tone.

"Just that one friend from high school." I said, nonchalantly.

"She seems... nice but you don't seem to like her." she says looking up at me.

I smiled at her and caressed her cheek with my thumb, "I just don't care for her and she's something; not mean but not nice either."

She nods and changes the conversation. We talked for another hour or so before she yawned.

"Alright, well I'm heading to sleep" she said getting up to kiss me softly, sending shivers down my spine. Her kisses are the best, vanilla lip balm with her plumped lips against mine, always feels so magical.

She pulled away first and kissed my forehead after, "Goodnight babe." She whispered.

"Goodnight, darling." I said after and she quietly leaves after.
