𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗞𝗔𝗡𝗘 had spent her entire life on the Ark, she had a simple life with her family, she was one of the privilege as her father was Marcus Kane who is one of the members on the council. Her mother died when she was thirteen years old and ever since then it's just been her and Marcus. From the day she was born, Caroline was special as she wasn't like other teenage girls, just like her mother she had black blood which was strange and because she was different she had to hide it from the ark.

Caroline knew how things worked on the ark, any simple crime you could commit you get arrested and floated when you turn eighteen. She hasn't seen her best friend, Clarke Griffin since she had gotten arrested for trying to expose the truth about the Ark the reason that her father was murdered all because the Ark is dying and that the people won't have long now until they run out of oxygen.

A couple of months ago, her boyfriend James Carter had gotten floated as he had gotten arrested for stealing but what she didn't know at the time was that she was pregnant and while she wasn't ready as she was only young she decided to keep the baby much to her fathers surprise as he didn't want this for his daughter he wanted her to live her life to the fullest but no matter what anyone said she wouldn't change her mind.

Caroline was currently laid on her bed staring up at the ceiling holding a pillow across her stomach when her father opened the door walking into the room, " I'm been looking for you everywhere. Your grandmother told me you're not feeling well" Caroline let out a sigh as she turned her head to gaze at Marcus, " she was teaching one of those Earth classes so I left early" Marcus had an concerned look as he looked down at his daughter, " Honey, are you okay? Anything you want to talk about? Is this about James?"

"Dad, if this was about James I wouldn't speak to you about it. You're the one who floated him in the first place for something so stupid and now my child will never know who their father is and that's down to you" Caroline rolled her eyes sending her father a glare who let out a small sigh knowing how much his daughter cared about James even though half the time he treated her like shit and was heartbroken when he got floated, " is there something you wanted or have you just come here to bother me?"

"Come with me" Marcus firmly told the blonde girl who frown deepened with an confused look on her face as she climbed out of her bed putting on her boots before she followed after her father down the hallways of the Ark, " Dad! What the hell is going on?" Caroline questioned when they appeared in front of the drop ship, " listen to me, everything I have ever done is to protect you. The prisoners of the Ark are being sent to the ground and you're going with them. This gives you a chance to live. Bethany, trust your instincts. Be careful I've lost your mother I can't loose you too"

"What? No, no, no, it's not safe..." Caroline trailed off with a shake of her head only to gasp when she felt herself being impaled with a needle in her neck falling into her fathers arms who slowly lowered the two of them to floor running his fingers through her blonde hair with tearful eyes as she fell unconscious knowing this is most difficult choice he had to made but he had to put his daughter safety first, " you're going to Earth, Caroline."
