Fighting against the fleets of ships as one unit. Five pilots acting as one. Fighting as one. This time you decided against forming Voltron with them. Flying the White lion all over the place you dodged some shots being blared at you while taking down the fighter pilots.
Spinning and springing yourself around causing some fighter pilots to crash into one another.
You hear down the comms, "Form sword!" Then Voltron took down one of the leftover fleet ion cannons.
Three more of those ships ahead. Shoving the handlebar forward you speed up only forcing yourself back when a ship appears right in front of you. Dropping down as a large laser beam shot hit the ship. Debris floating everywhere.
Hearing on Shiro's end, "Commander Holt, what's the status of the Zaiforge cannon?"
Sam answers, "According to their projected trajectories, they've started moving together, but their convergent point is..." He loses his voice in the middle of his sentence as realization dawns on him.
"Sam?" Shiro calls out. "Sam? What is it?"
"I know what Sendak's doing," Sam states. "He's going to converge the beams to make one massive amplified emission of particle radiation."
"Is that even possible?"
Looking down at what Sam had sent to you all, you watch as the Zaiforge cannon are slowly moving closer together. "Yes. I know because I gave them the technology," explains Sam. "When I was enslaved, the Galra had me working on particle emission amplification. I'm sending you the Zaiforge cannons' movements. This is the simulation I've run based on their current trajectory. It leads to a single point in space. Once they're in position, their individual beams will merge together, exponentially increasing their destructive force. It will be powerful enough to completely vaporize Earth."
Hunk expresses loudly, "We can't let that happen. What do we do?"
"Should we go after the Ziaforge cannon?" Allura asks. "The lions might not be able to defeat them all in time."
Sam informs, "If two of those beams connect, they have the power to destroy Earth."
☾
Team Voltron had tried stopping the beams from forming but time was limited and so was the plates they used to stop the blast. It breaks on them. Seeing the five blast forming into one you rushed in the middle right before it.
Staring head on you summoned the shadow, the darkness, the space around you, you formed a shield of your own. Recalling the time you made one for Coran and Lance when that bomb went off inside the castle of Lions.
Creating not a smaller but a larger scale wrapping this half ball of void around the cannons as it blasted. The thick barrier gets nothing past it.
Eyes shutting tightly as you groan in pain. Face contorting to such draining feelings.
A scream broke through your throat rippling through the comms of everyone.
The darkness drains you of your energy. Slowly draining you of your life.
Eyes catching notice of blurring colors flushing to the other side of the shadows and began destroying the cannons. "Two cannons are offline!" Iverson yells.
Surely but slowly all the cannons became offline, destroyed. Bringing relief to Y/n. Dropping the half ball of void, your energy completely diminished. You fall limp in your seat falling unconscious.
The White Lion falling with Sendak's ship.
☾
Eyes fluttering, awakening her eyes, taking notice of the ship besides her. Of whom fought at the front.
Forcing herself to get back into the fight. To wake up more. She flew under the ship where everyone else was lifting Sendak's ship. Keith said, "Hold it together. We have to make it pass the city."
Passing the city, the ship slams down onto the ground.
You notice Keith quickly getting out of his lion and slay Sendak and make his way to Shiro. Pidge screamed afterwards, "We did it!"
Hunk smiled widely, "Earth is safe!"
That smile you wore widely only fell when you noticed something entering Earth's orbit. Heading straight towards you all.
