"Luna? You there" I heared Grace call.
"Yeah, where else would I be?" I asked. She and Jasper entered.
"How're you doing?" she asked.
"Great, I feel free a bird" I lied.
"Come on. You know its only for your protection from him" Jasper said.
"Speaking of him, Luke was his name?" Grace asked.
"Yeah, the guy I fought. I totally kicked his ass" Jasper said, and I grinned.
"That really made my day, too" I admited. Grace turned to me,
"Why did you lie and say you were marrying Lucifer?" Grace asked. I shrugged, enable to really answer.
"They must have put you through a lot. If you don't want to talk about it-" Grace told me.
"I'll tell you about it I guess. For one thing Luke has an older brother, Michael who was kind to me. His brother would beat me sometimes, amd I did see once Lucifer beat Luke, too" I said.
"Sounds like a pretty abusive family" Jasper muttered.
"Yeah, I just want to see Luke ripped to shreds" I told him. My breath was icy as my anger grew.
"Come on, least make time for combat practice" Grace suggested. Grace was sixteen, I was fifteen, and Jasper was a few months older than me. Good ages to learn to fight.
Rosella:
Heat washed over ceiling and between the stone I saw a wave of fire roar by.
"Sounds like they're in combat practice" Eleanor said.
"Even the children know war is upon us" I said sadly.
"Eleanor, is Jasper going to fight?" Samuel asked.
"I- I don't know" she replied.
"I have an idea for the children" Violet spoke up. Our eyes turned to him.
"I don't like it but. I'm not sure if you remember it William, but we still own a small cottage a little bit up north in Sweden. Its in the coast" she explained, and pulled out a map.
"I remember faintly, when were we last their? Was that-" he cut short.
"Yeah... With mother and father" Violet answered him. I took his hand in my own hand.
"I suppose, but who would go with them?" He replied.
"I would sir" Edmund replied.
"I trust you, but your strategic mind is needed here" William replied.
"Brother you know my mind is just as good as his if not better" Violet said.
"Hey!" Edmund protested. Violet gave him a challenging glare, and he shut up.
"Alexander is third in command too" Samuel reminded me.
"Wait, are we one hundred percent sure we want to send our kids away?" I asked.
"I can't leave Luna. Do you remember in town how Lucifer backed off when I came to the scene. Between my speed and his strength we are almost equal" William said, "I don't want to leave her"
"I don't want to leave her either" I told him. He sighed,
"And both of us can't leave at the same time..." He said, thinking hard about the issue at hand. The door opened and Mathew entered.
"Cole's letter is here" he told me.
"It'll have to wait" I told him.
"I think it'll have to be Edmund" William finally said.
"We need our fighting forces, and then Violet will have to take his place" I added.
"Right, we'll talk more whether or not the children will leave. As long as our current location is unknown we are safe" William said. Everyone filed out of his office towards the living room, or the kitchen.
"I hate the thought of my daughter leaving because of a war" I told him.
"But as long as it keeps her safe its worth it. Its not like she'll be gone forever" William replied. I sighed, I guess he was right. She would have to leave in a week before Lucifer finds her here.
Luna: I sat in my bedroom after combat practice. I had my head to my pillow. I could hear Jasper and Grace outside. I couldn't even be outside on or own property. ' Whoo ever invented war sucks' I thought. I sat up. 'Screw it, I need fresh air. I stepped up to the window, and grabbed onto the ledge. In one swift motion I swung myself up to the roof. I lay down, inhaling deeply the sweet night air. The sun was no problem, but vampires vision was sharper which made bright lights seem blinding. Nothing could beat the clarity of the world at night.
"Enjoying the night?" I beared someone ask. I sighed,
"I'm really tired of surprise visitors" I replied.
