-Luna:

I stared at the ceiling. 'What the hell was wrong with Luke? What sort of game was he playing?' I wondered. 'And what Michael told me, Luke is definetely playing some sort of game, and what ever he's selling I'm not buying' I thought as my eyes gradually shut, and sleep took place of my mind.

I woke up, to Eva knocking on the door. I sat up as she entered the rook with fresh clothed. I took my time getting dressed before heading out the door. I left the building and walked outside along the path to the other side of the castle. I looked over the railing at the steep side of the mountain. 'How easy would it be fore me to just wall, and not have to wake up being here. Or wake up back home in fear of being kidnapped. I stood up on the railing, my back straight. One lean foreward, and it would send be tumbling down the steep mountain side to a shadow I would never be able escape.

"Luna? Luna what are you doing?!" I heared Luke call. He walked at a brisk pace towards me.

"Luna why are you up there?" He questioned me. His hand slipped in mine, and pulled slightly. I remained on the railing, and snatched my hand away.

"I don't need your help" I snapped as I stepped down.

"Okay, okay. Jeez, can't a guy show some kindness?" He said. I couldn't help, but feel bad for being rude. ' This is Luke Luna, don't forget that' I remembered.

"I don't care" I replied. I began walking away towards the other side when I heared him follow.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked me.

"No" I lied. I had slept well on the bed in my room here. It was like a marshmellow.

"Is there anything I can do for you then?" He asked. 'Yes, let me leave this place' I thought.

"No" I said.

"Hey, I hope you don't mind me asking, but where did the myth about vampires come from? That they couldn't stand the light?" He questioned me.

"Our eyes are more sensitive to light because of our enhanced vision. The light burns because we see better" I told him. I felt some soft in my shoulder feathers. He was on my left, over the railing. His body blocked the rising sun rays.

"Thanks" I muttered. 'You idiot, the moment you accept his kindness the momment you set yourself up to get hurt' I thought. With vampiric speed I ran towards the door, but with his wings he kept up.

"After you" he said, holding the door open. I ran in towards the living room, but he kept up with me.

"Are you okay? Did I do something wrong?" He asked.

"You know I'm trying to be nice" he told me.

"I know, and I also know that saying all angels and archangels are charming, and kind is a myth" I shot back.

"Hmm, I suppose that's true. Not all of us are cruel thought. Heh, you said its a myth we're all charming, so which am I?" He asked. I plopped down on the couch. My face was probably a shade of pink. I didn't trust Luke, I didn't like him, I didn't love him, but I'll give him credit for his looks. Luke was very attractive; his dark brown hair, and brown eyes.

"No" I lied. 'Lies, lies, lies, so many' I thought. He raised, an eyebrow, his eyes on me.

Luke:

Her heartbeat sped up. 'Was she lying?' I thought curiously. On occasion I could soul read a bit, and this was one of those momments. ' Heh, perhaps she likes me?' I thought, 'Ecgh, why do I care. Just keep putting up an act, she'll accept you, and then father won't be angry' I told myself.

"Hey brother, how's the act going?" I heared Michael say.

"Damn soul reading" I muttered.

"Sorry your an open book" he said sarcastically.

"Hey Michael" Luna said. She gave him a nervous wave, and smiled. Her face was a light shade of pink.

"See ya later" he said, and gave her a cocky smile as he left.

"Jerk" I muttered quiet. Luna hissed,

"He's not" she told me.

"You don't know him" I told her.

"I don't, but I know him well enough to know he's kind, and compassionate" she told me. I could feel my tempet rising. I hovered over the ground towards her.

"You do not know him. He's brutal and cruel" I snapped. She backed away nervously.

"Like you?" she said. I sighed,

"Why do you care?" She added. ' Why do I care?' I wondered. My mind gave me no logical answer though. Luna disapeared, and reappeared behind me.

"I know him and you. Quit with the acting" She told me.

"What acting?" I replied.

"The fake kindness" she answered me.

"I'm not acting" I told her. She left the room when I heared a voice. I turned around.

"Are you?" She asked, her tone full of doubt. I didn't reply. 'Was I acting or not' I asked myself.

"I knew it" she said, and began to wall away.

"No, wait" I said. I touched her shoulder, and she spun around. I caught her by surprise with just a gentle hug. She didn't move away. I suppose that was good. I felt her arms slowly move up when she changed her mind. She roughly shoved me away, and stormed out window.

"Luna, I'd like a word with you" I heared Lucifed say. I heared them head down the hallway towards the ballroom. ' What's he up to?' I wondered. I followed from a distance. I could almost sense the anger and tension fuming of my father.
