.
Later that afternoon, you packed the pieces you wrote in advance and started to look for a job to apply to RECKLESSLY. You literally had no more places in mind to be a potential company to work in within your range of transportation. You looked and looked and looked but the small printing businesses were not looking for anything formal. Then you stumbled upon a local company and they told you that they can refer you to the main publication company that they all get their supplies of newspapers and other printed products from. With glitters in your eyes, you did not even hesitate to say yes to the offer. The nice man handed you a poster presenting the name of the publication company, its address, and the contact person for applicants.
But...
You felt annoyed upon seeing what was in the poster.
"For applicants, please contact +********** and look for Toji Zenin"
You wrapped your face with the poster and sighed. "He's getting on my nerves."

You were surprised to see that the company was not that big, but the employees going in and out looked so professional, and that the company must be very in considerable rank when it comes to job quality. You walked in and you were surprised as well as how the interior design of the walls looked. It gave a vintage vibe, making it repel the usual boring office look. You contacted the number on the poster but no one was answering. You thought at first that he might not be answering your calls because he knows it was you, but you didn't want to accuse him for being completely delusional, and that made you frown while walking to the counter.
"Good Morning, Ma'am, welcome to T. Publications, how may I help you?," the worker greeted you as you reached the front desk.
"I am looking for... Toji Zenin."
"Do you have an appointment with Mr. Zenin, Ma'am?," You casually shook your head upon the worker's question. "May I ask for your name, Ma'am?"
"Yumiko Fushiguro." You answered. The worker smiled at you.
"Kindly proceed to the second floor, Ma'am."
I bowed and thanked the worker then proceeded to the second floor. You sighed after taking a flight of stairs (the line in front of the elevators were long!) then walked straight to the first door you saw. Human Resource, Marketing, Finance. You didn't know which of the doors was the right one to enter, but there was one more door. And it answered your question right away.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)
Toji Zenin
You were really surprised to realize that the man that annoyed you the most earlier in the day was the boss of the best company yet that you found in your new area. You knocked on the door then you heard a deep "Come in" before proceeding inside.
You expected to see someone in a suit, signing papers on a desk and with a pile of document at the side. But no.
"Seriously?," you said with disappointment on your face.
Toji was lying on the couch with a lollipop in his mouth and playing some kind of game on the phone. And guess what? He was wearing a fitted gray shirt, and baggy pants, and slippers. "Oh, come on!" He complained when he died in the game. He then sat down and faced you and he smiled sheepishly.
"Good Day, Miss, it's my first time seeing you, I believe." He said then stood up and put his left hand in his pocket and held the lollipop with the other.
"First, the convenience store. And now, in your office." You said then rolled your eyes. "I'm here to apply, not to fool around."
He chuckled and smoothly pulled the folder you were holding then opened it. "Hey!" You exclaimed when he took you by surprise.
"Creative writer. Hmm, what do you write? Short stories? Poetry? Haiku?"
"Anything related to creative literature." You answered. Toji nodded. He sat down, his legs on his desk and his heavy upper body almost bending his chair's backrest to a 90-degree angle. You shook your head because of how he acts. This dimwit is going to be my boss? You thought to yourself.
He took out the papers from your folder and read them one by one. Relief takes over your body whenever you see him nod his head in every piece that he reads. He put it all inside the folder once again and looked at you.
"Alright. You're hired." He said. You sighed in relief but frowned because of his sheepish smile.
"Oh, what now?" You said, annoyed.
"No, no, no. No way I'm going to let an employee talk to me like that." He made a dismissive gesture as if scolding you. You rolled your eyes. He then stood up and made a photocopy of all your works then gave you the folder back.
"Today will be your first day." He said. He smiled— no, he smirked. "See you, Fushiguro-sama."
You gave a fake and sarcastic smile before turning around. Before you opened the door, your emotions slightly went down a bit and felt the relief within you. You faced him without a smile then bowed and spoke.
"Thank you."
You went home and rested a bit before opening your folder once again. You arranged them by category and noticed that something was unusual. You were sure that you submitted 13 papers but one was missing. Your mood made you disregard that small circumstance, so you lied down then frowned and punched the air realizing that you'll get to see him more often than before.
"Oh, great."
