The next day, Toya greeted me at work not asking more questions about me and Toji. I was assigned a few creative pieces, along with some news and feature articles which is kind of out of my expertise, but I had fair experience writing in those categories back then so it wasn't that big of a problem. While writing, all I can think about was what I can do to reward myself when I finish this. And again, my mood dropped when I remembered about that ice cream deal. I swear I won't let him forcefully offer me things anymore. I looked under my desk where I kept his umbrella. I plan on giving it back during lunch break.

After a few moments of silence, I noticed that everyone greeted me and smiled at me in a respectful way. Well, A VERY RESPECTFUL WAY. Way too respectful like bow-to-the-Emperor respectful. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with Toji! I sighed when I saw my manager talking to other colleagues and knew that I am who they're talking about (well, I just glanced at them and they bowed). Imaginary smoke out of my nose.

Lunch went by peacefully, and my whole face is strained from smiling back at everyone for literally every second. I swear I'll kick him in front of them to cleanse my name.

12:00.

12:15.

12:28.

12:49

12:59.

WHERE THE HELL IS THIS MAN?!

I sighed and knew that I had no choice but to go to his office personally. The sky looks so gloomy and it might rain again, AND THERE IS NO CHANCE THAT I WILL LET HIM RUN OFF AGAIN AFTER LEAVING ME HIS UMBRELLA. Everyone looked at me but quickly looked away when I looked back. Every step that I took towards Toji's office caught everyone's attention. I sighed in despair knowing I hate being in the spotlight since then. I knocked at his office but no one opened the door. I knocked again.

And again.

Again.

And again.

I frowned and was getting impatient so I opened the door and took a peek. "Mr. Zenin-- Ehh?"

There was no one inside his office. Not even him. Did he leave very early. I don't think so, since Manager Toya will surely inform us about the absence of the boss and whether it is temporary or a real absence. I sighed and closed the door.

"Maybe I should just wait for him." I murmured.

***********************************

A few hours later, everyone left the office one by one, until there were only three of us left, then another left, and it was just the two of us, one being my manager, Toya.

"Oi, Yumiko." He said while putting on his coat. "You're going overtime?"

I nodded with a soft smile, but deep inside, I'm clenching my fist wanting to punch my wanted visitor so bad when he arrives.

"Oh, alright then, can I leave the keys to you for today? You can give it back to me tomorrow morning. I expect you to not be late since you'd be in charge of opening up the office tomorrow!" He said with a soft smile. I accepted the keys and thanked him for trusting me. Well, if only it weren't for that sculpted guy we work for.

I frowned when I saw my manager give a teasing grin while covering his mouth. "What is it, Manager?"

He laughed even more after I said that. He caught his breath while making a dismissive gesture. "Now, now, when it's just us, call me Toya. It's just that... I don't believe you're going overtime for work." He wiped his tears that fell from laughing and grabbed his bag before going to the door. He smiled at me and waved but said something.

"The boss changed drastically since you arrived. Keep it up, you two!" Then he left. I pouted and crossed my arms. NOW EVERYONE HAS THE WRONG IDEA.

I yawned when it reached 7:50pm. I finished all of my assigned works and made a few more extra in case random categories will be needed as backup. I stood up and left the umbrella inside his office then I closed his door. Where would that man even be? Just running off of work like that?

I turned off the PC, the lights, then the air conditioner. I walked to the door and was going to unlock it until... clink clink.

The sound of keys from outside were so loud, and I took a step back feeling nervous. An intruder? A criminal? I took my own umbrella and lifted it in the air in case someone attacks me. I was going to attack when the door opened, but I stopped when something--

No.

Someone fell off the floor. The door slowly closed behind, and I knelt down to see who it was. The physique and the hair. Could it be?..

I slowly turned the body over, and there, I saw him. "M-Mr. Zenin?!"

His body was covered in blood. I shook in fear and started to shake him to wake him up, but there was no response. I put my head on his chest but the heartbeat was slow. I felt an extreme anxiety within me, and I felt the need to do something.

"T-Toji!"
