"WHAT THE-" '
I covered my mouth in an instant when I almost screamed.
Him. In. A. Blue. Shirt.
What the fuck is wrong with him? It... It's not like it doesn't suit him at all... But seeing him in that color was so new and so strange to me. Everybody literally had their eyes onto him when he entered the office. Grunt. He looked at me and winked before walking towards his office. I frowned at him for being a tease, but that frown soon went to Toya who was grinning creepily all this time while looking at me.
I sighed. I hope that phone call didn't mean trouble.

I sighed after finishing my third news piece. I have a looooot of work today. Toya told me that I shouldn't bother about the works that were supposed to be assigned to me yesterday, but I insisted on finishing them the same day. I don't want anyone to give me a favor for something I did not deserve. I still had 3 categories to write articles on.
Lunch came and I wasn't in a mood to eat or even stand up. The paperwork is due tomorrow and I can just handle it at home then send it to my manager via email, but I wanted to make up the hours and each second that I spent on Toji's house and pour those lost minutes onto my work.
After finishing a few more, I noticed that it was past 1:00pm. I haven't seen Toji come out of his office since he arrived. Did he eat already? I bet he.. hasn't, and I didn't see him bring any lunch box inside. I took my phone and hesitated a little to send him a message, but I still.
I'M JUST WORRIED.
[To: Mr. Zenin
Are you alright in there?]
As I was just about to put my phone down, my phone beeped.'
[From: Mr. Zenin
Yeah, just handling some serious things.]
I sighed in relief knowing that he's alright.
[From: Mr. Zenin
Have you eaten?]
Shit. I still haven't. I could just easily say I already did but there was something very happy within me that didn't want to let go even just that very small lie. When I didn't reply, his office door suddenly opened and I saw him with a neutral expression on his face. He walked past my row then outside. That was a bit strange to be honest.
Did... something happen inside the office? Was there a problem regarding the company? There is no one inside the office so... I don't know what else will be the reason. He had a hint of anger in his eyes. Was it because I still haven't eaten?! Shake.
BEEP
[From: Mr. Zenin
Go outside. Let's eat together.]

We ended up buying some takoyaki and small heated bento from the convenience store and nearby stall. Right now, we're headed to the park. This man really doesn't care about work time, he just wants to hang out every time he finishes doing some task. I looked at my watch and it was almost 2 PM. I sighed, knowing that I might lose more hours of work if we take too long.
"I talked to Toya, so don't bother."
I looked away and sighed. "Please make this the last time that you'll request the manager to exempt me from work. It's kind of unprofessional."
"Nah, it isn't. So..." He lifted my lips with his thumb and index finger. "SMILE!" Then he laughed loudly. His demeanor changed from what he had earlier. Is he really happy right now?.. or just covering up whatever troubled him back in the office? "But if you want it that bad, it's alright. I won't cut off your work hours anymore. You can always tell me what's in your mind."
"Thanks," I said.
"But of course, you will have to make up the hours you lost in spending time with me."
I frowned in an instant. He chuckled. "You really don't cover up your emotions, do you?" He teased. I stopped walking and held his hand. He stopped walking and looked at me. "Hm?"
I looked down and clenched my fist.
He was obviously covering up his pain. He is in pain about something and he keeps denying it.
"It's unfair." I said. "It's unfair that I can tell you what I feel about anything... yet you can't express your own."
He just stood there quietly. I kept looking at the ground while waiting for a response. Just speak, say anything, let the pain ease down.
"I am here too, right?" I said softly. I am here for him as well, not just him for me. I hate it when feelings are genuine. It was all unconditional but my heart treated that lack of reason to have affection for this guy become the reason itself for me to stay with him.
I felt a pat on my head, then he hugged me.
"Yes, you are. And... you always will be."
I remember mentioning to him... that I hated writing with the Italic font. But it's even more painful to realize that the words we can hear can also have fonts. It can be undone, but not unheard.
