"What do I have to do?!" I frantically worried.

The judgement wagered what was more equivalent for me, the rationalism that was left within subsided over my emotions. 16 Lives of people who I am responsible for, or 1 person who is my best friend?

Even though I was in a state of panic, my mind raced with strategies as I surveyed the possibilites. My instincts honed from years of outsmarting adversaries negated the panic my mind was in.

I chose Jane, I don't care if i'm selfish. I took my phone and called Veloz for back-up but my signal was blocked that sent me through another wave of frustration.

"I have eyes everywhere, bitch. Pull a little trick and your friend is dead."

I sighed, "What do I have to fucking do?!"

"Simply, follow my direction." He said as he gave me orders and I listened attentively.

"The coordinates are a kilometer away from you, it'd be faster for you to run towards the abandoned factory in the corner of the district downtown."

I listened instantly and made my move, on my fast paced running, unraveling the intricate web of deceit spun by Alasteer.

I made it look like I was going to the coordinates but in reality, I was slowly going closer from Jane's location.

"I know what you're doing bitch. Come closer and she'll die."

Napalunok ako, I feel overwhelmed, and I was a pawn dancing in his hands. I could feel myself losing composure with each step I took, and I was on the brink of snapping.

"..Heart."

"Jane!" I Shouted and stopped running, in that moment I felt a sense of ease, but her voice sounded hoarse that it scared me.

"Just follow the orders. Your employee went back at the KopiKop—." Jane's faint voice.

"What?" Then how the fuck did the undercovers got kidnapped? Why the fuck did Jazz go back at the cafe after disappearing? What the fuck is happening?!

"You heard it bitch. Go."

I made my way through the crowded streets and followed the coordinates, I couldn't stroke the feeling of unease that gnawed my insides. The warehouse seemed to close in around me, the sounds of traffic and chatter fading into the background as I focused on the task at hand.

I hastened as with adrenaline coursing my veins, my jaw clenched, my mind raced with a mixture of fear and determination. Alasteer, the elusive criminal mastermind behind so much of the city's underworld activity, was not to be trifled with.

But Heart Stealer was no ordinary vigilante. With wits from the past years coursing through her veins, she thrived on chaos and uncertainty, using her cunning intellect to outsmart them this time.

I finally reached the old warehouse district where I became more wary. My heart pounded from the run I made as I surveyed the dilapidated warehouse that gave a loomed atmosphere.

"Now what?" I said, my voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through my veins.

"Goodluck. Kill all of the Alasteer for me." The baritoned voice cut the line before I could ask any questions, kill all the Alasteer? Is this person not part of the Alasteer?

Does the Alasteer have enemies?

I'll think about it later, I have to focus on the task at hand.
