JAZZ's Point of View
Heart stood at the walkway intently looking left and right like a security guard, "Triads, or Astra?" I asked the man lying his back against the wall, my hands shoved to my pockets looking down on him.
He grunted before opening his mouth, "Go fuck yours—" I kicked his face sideways and his head wobbled like a jelly, he stumbled down the ground, I looked down on him, he was unconscious I poked the corner of my cheek with my tongue to stifle my annoyance.
Heart was still guarding meters away when a stranger bumped into her, I walked casually to the opposite side of the alley, got outside a new unfamiliar empty street and continued walking casually.
Admiring the streets where sunset touched the sidewalks with glistening radiance, the cars reflecting the orange hues and the red small flowers on the bushes being more vivid—Wait.
I saw a motorcycle with a blue side vehicle and a body number attached to it, it honked at me and stopped abruptly right in front of me, "Boss! Sakay?" Lumingon ang lalaking nahinto't naka uniform at may twalya sa leeg habang nakatingin sakin.
I lowered my body and went inside this claustrophobic vehicle, sat and my head tilted sideways because the roof was too short, my head sticked out like sore thumb, "San po tayo?" Tanong ni manong.
"Kopikopi." I said and he revved the motorcycle, it took him a few blocks swerving left and right, honking at pedestrians and ignoring traffic lights, after 3 minutes or so, I saw the bustling city and the jam pack of customers waiting in line outside of KopiKopi, this cafe truly out stands and the best to go place cafe cause of it's ambiance.
The vehicle stopped by the sidewalk I got out, he looked at me as if he was demanding something I creased my eyebrows, "Ser?" Aniya.
"Hm?"
"Bayad nyo po?"
"Oh——Wait." I gestured him to wait, as I walk towards KopiKopi the stares I got were unreal, everyone was blushing I ignored it and walked inside the KopiKopi, felt the fresh aircon and took the tip jar from the counter.
"Hoy! Anong gagawin mo jan!" Steffani said and cancelled the order on the customer, I looked at the tip jar, it was stacked with yellow and sky blue colorful bills and pennies, this is probably enough for payment.
I ignored her and continued walking outside, Steffani couldn't go in front of me and I gave the tip jar to the tricycle driver, the way his eyes flashed up of amusement, "Sure po kayo boss?" Aniya and I flinched my brows up, turned away and walked off.
I went inside KopiKopi and headed straight inside the 'Authorized Personnel Only' Door and my eyes caught the stack of the 3-in-1 instant coffee, my true objective of going back here, I took one pack into my hands and stared at it, a sly smile rose from my face. I can't live without this coffee.
I shoved it into my pocket and bursted out the door casually, walked at the cafe and observed around. Bhoszxc Vhinszxc was working triple time, he was attending the customers outside, serving the customers inside and sometimes even taking Steffani's place as cashier, but he looked calm and composed.
I guess staying a little more will help. I went at the 2nd available counter and faced the customer, "Kopikopi." I said and listened for the following orders, I could hear a commotion outside and the people outside flocked at one spot surrounding something. The customers inside were curious and looked past the windows and I focused more on taking orders.
Steffani shortly came inside and she looked haggard, pissed and panting, her hair stranded out, there were visible redness on her face and bruises on her arms, and the most thing noticeable is that she was holding a tip jar menacingly as if it was a hard fought battle.
