Welcome back to Shadow. The hype for this book is somewhat enjoyable. I know it'll get popular eventually, and I shouldn't rush things, so that's what I'm doing. Anyways, more Nicole, more Jecka, more Marcus, and more of the Gunsmith Cats.

Enjoy.

A few days later...

As Jeffery left a manga store in downtown Chicago, he was watched by two undercover hunters.

...

"Nothing 'school shooter' so far..." Rally says, lowering her newspaper.

"Let's not assume things right off the bat," I said, fixing my trench coat, "Let's go..."

Rally called in sick, I called in absent, but I told my parents the new mission, so they let me off free. Jeffery had skipped school too, which is surprising... which is why we're tailing him. I could hear his perverted giggles as oogles the girl on the cover of the manga, from what I assumed.

"Ugh, I hate him with every fiber of my body..." Rally mutters to me from behind.

"Once we catch him in the act, you'll rest easy..." I said.

"Thank god..." Rally says.

Jeffery turned a corner... a familiar corner.

"That's the block of the rival gun shop!" Rally hisses.

"Looks like he's making his move," I said. We increased our pace toward Jeffery until I heard a voice.

"So should we go to the mall?"

"Eh, I guess. I hope Marcus is there..."

I turned to see Nicole and Jecka wearing jackets... skipping school as well.

"Let me text him," Nicole says. Jecka looks at her friends phone.

"Let me get his number too!"

"Don't look at my phone!"

The two girls had a little argument, which caused Jeffery to speed into the gunshop.

"Fuck!" I said.

...

Nicole and Jecka looked at us. I had made sure to cover my face so they wouldn't recognize me.

...

"And I thought detectives didn't exist," Nicole comments, snickering.

...

Phew, in the clear.

Nicole and Jecka moved along toward the mall.

...

"We gotta catch Jeffery buying the gun," Rally says. I nodded. We walked up to the shop to find... a twist.

"Oh... I forgot they turned it into a flower shop..." Rally says.

I looked at the sign.

"Guns & Roses... we don't sell guns here, promise..."
