Welcome back to Shadow. I just wanted to let you guys know that this will be a filler chapter that'll bridge the two-day gap before the KKK raid starts. This will also bring you guys the answer to the love interest(s) of the story. I gave ya'll a small hint with Ghost's poly relationship, so if you theorize, you'll see where I'm going with this. April 24th, 2009, one day before the raid...
'It's gonna happen... It's gonna happen...'
Marcus was sat alone, in his room, with nothing but the thoughts of the eventual raid approaching near. They've even got the Louisiana County Department on this raid as well. This is going to be one of many big events Marcus will be involved in, and all of this is to save his aunt and many others to come. This was going to be a raid for the record books, and he's not exaggerating.
Right now, Marcus was playing with a .45 bullet he uses for his USP .45, trying to calm his nerves when he heard a knock on his door. He looked up to see his own mother, Maria Graves.
"It's gonna happen, huh?" she asked as she let herself into the room. Marcus simply nodded, not having the voice to answer his mom's question.
...
"I can tell you're scared," Maria told Marcus as she sat herself on his bed, looking directly at him. Marcus looked a little surprised at his mother's words, but she simply raised an eyebrow.
"I'm CIA after all..." Maria responded. Marcus closed his eyes and softly chuckled.
"I know..."
Maria gestured for Marcus to come over to her, and he did without hesitation.
"It's gonna be scary I know, going into the state that traumatized all of us," Maria said as she played with her son's hair.
"Nathan's a bit scared too, he admits, but he's doing it for Rally, his aunt."
Maria twirled a piece of Marus' hair as he sat there listening to her words.
"It's not as scary when you know what you're fighting for," Maria tells him.
Marcus thought about her words.
'I know what I'm fighting for... I know what this raid is for... Rally, Minnie, Nicole, Jecka, Emily, everyone at school... Nathan...'
Marcus knows Nathan slipped up, and let himself get captured by the KKK, almost costing him life. He knows damn well Nathan wont let them get a second chance.
...
'I believe in you, Nathan...'
