Chapter 6: sleep over part 1 (short)

Luke's pov

I woke up went my alarm went off, normally I would get showered and dressed and go for a run (even on a Sunday), I turned by alarm off and tried to go back to sleep it was kind of cold without Jason, but the jersey I am still wear smelled of him. After several minutes I drifted off, and dreamed of sitting by the lake, I run near sometimes, and Jason was there telling I will be ok then I looked at the water and back at Jason but instead of Jason there was a big white wolf looking at me, somehow, I knew I was ok with this big wolf and looked into the wolf's golden coloured eyes. Then my phone woke me up, was ringing, and it was Max sleepily I answer "hello", "hey where are you, I am at your normal weekend running spot and there is no sign of you, where are you?" Max asked. I am yarning said "I decided not to go for a run today didn't have the energy to do it" Max could tell something was wrong and asked, "are you ok Luke?" it was weird hearing Max call me by my name he generally calls me Speedy all the time. "No not really" while turning sides on my bed then I saw the note Jason left me. I asked Max "can I call you back I need to go the toilet" he said "make sure you do" I knew he was concerned about me. I went to the toilet sat down, not trusting my aim and started to read the not Jason left me.

Luke

I cleaned up the pizza and bottles, I would like to meet to tomorrow before school starts. Please meet me at the track at 7:45 I would like to talk with you. I have programmed my phone number into your phone, call or text me if you are running late, or your mom starts on you again, for now it is just for an emergency, but call me if you need me pup.

Talk Monday Jason

After flushing and washed and dried my hands I called Max back and told him what happened yesterday. He was shocked than I asked him "if your mum is ok with it can I sleep over tonight?" Max said, "I don't see a problem with that but let me check with my mom first, but are you ok now?" I told him that Jason came round and checked up on me, ordered pizza, and gave me one of his jerseys, today I just feel emotionally drained. He said "I understand that I will hang up and call my mom and ask her can you sleep over for a few days? Before I could say only tonight, he hung up. I packed by back, pretty much knowing I could go over, I packed a few days with of clothes including Jason's jersey (I would sleep in it), toothbrush and toothpaste, and got my clothes ready for after my shower. Max called back and told me to come round at 3, I thanked him and showered. I got dressed and decided to clean the kitchen, I needed to occupy my mind, this took 3 hours to do. I went back to my room remembering to bring my laptop and charge and stuff for school and walked over to Max's house.
