Chapter 27: Our Son

Jason's pov

Sue handed me our son, Luke stoked his check then he passed out. I gave Dr Sky a worried look, then she said, "I gave him something to help him rest, I need to stitch him up then get him weighed" pointing to our son. After Sue weighed him, he was 9 pounds 5 ounces, a very healthy boy. He was back in my arms, I held him in one arm and my other hand was on Luke's hand just stroking him. Joy came round to me and looked at mine and Luke's son and said, "he is adorable", I just nodded unable to speak at that moment. Sue then said "I will be back in 1 hour to get some paperwork. Alpha Luke should sleep till I get back, but just in case he wakes up before then, make sure he doesn't move too much. He can sit up slowly but he cannot walk". I said, "understood he won't move from this bed", "I will make sure he stays" Joy then said. "Me too" Max said, just inside the room with Smithy holding him. They walked over to me and looked at our son and Max said, "congratulation he looks beautiful. I can't wait to tell Speedy the same". Smithy then said, "congratulations my Alpha he looks strong like his dad's". "Thank you" I said, I couldn't take my eyes of him. He was beautiful, amazing and he has Luke's nose. "What is his name?" Max asked, "I will tell everyone later on. First, I will tell Luke and then you guys then the pack." Joy the said, "as it should be", after a few minutes I asked Max could he go and tell Tom to tell the pack the Me and Luke have a son, and to be in the pack house tonight at 9". Max then said, "sure no problem" he walked over to Luke give him a gentle hug and kissed his forehead, then he gave me a hug and whispered "congratulations cousin" I mouthed the words 'thank you' to him when he let me go and then he kissed our son on top of his head. Max then hugged his mom and said, "well done mom". He and Smithy then left the room holding each other. I looked at Joy and said, "thank you for everything you did auntie" with happy tears in my eyes. Joy looked from our son to me and then Luke and back to me and said, "your welcome".

Luke's pov

I slowly woke up, feeling Jason holding my hand (I knew it was Jason because I still get tingles and shocks, even though me have been mated for over six months). I slowly opened my eyes, and the most beautiful sight hit my eyes of Jason holding our son. I smiled and said, "you two look amazing" with a low voice, I was still sleepy and had a dry mouth. Jason looked at me and showed me our son, I attempted to get up but both Joy and Jason stopped me and then Joy said, Dr Sky said "you are to stay in bed and if you are to sit up move very slowly" the last part I knew she was serious about. I asked can they both help me sit up slightly. They helped me up and moved the pillows around to make me more comfortable. The pain from the C-section was there but not as bad as before.

Jason got up and said, "meet our son" and placed him in my arms. I held him and started to cry; he was the most beautiful person ever only Jason could equal him. I said, "Joy thank you for helping me and for everything you have done for both me and Jason" I looked at our son while saying this. "You are all welcome" was all she said. I asked her "could I have a few minutes with Jason and our son please?" Joy just nodded and hugged and kissed me, Jason and our son and left.

Jason hugged me and I asked, "what is his name?" Jason looked at me and said, "Jake Samual Lake" I looked at him and said, "Samual...." Jason interrupted me and said, "... yeah after your dad". I cried more and looked at Jake and said, "welcome to the world Jake Samual Lake you will be loved and taken care of my prince" Jason hugged me, and we stayed like that for a few minutes. I said to Jason "I think we should ask/tell Joy and hopefully she will say yes".

Jason nodded and left my side to get Joy, when they entered the room Dr Sky joined us to look me over and do general checks and for us to sign some stuff. I thanked Sue for everything and also apologised for being rude to her assistant. She understood and said "it is ok he understands" while giggling. She gave me another injection for the pain and told me that I was on bed rest for a week. Jason said, "I will make sure of that" I knew that he meant it, but the way I was feeling I felt like I could sleep for that week. She asked about birth control and talked about the different options. I said, "me and Jason have talked about this a lot, and it is best for now if I do take birth control, in a few years I might come of them but for now 1,000,000% take them" she nodded while giggling and said, "In one month's time I will give you them, I want your body to heal first. Then all you have to do is take one tablet a week, also you can't have sex for at least 8 weeks." This she mainly looked at Jason who nodded. When she did all of the checks were done, and the paperwork signed (the paperwork was for the humans for legal adoption) she congratulated us told us to contact her anytime and arranged a follow up in a week's time. Then I looked at Joy and said, "Joy me and Jason have thought about this long and hard, and I/we would like to ask you to be Jake's grandmother. I feel like you are more my mum than my mother and definitely more than an auntie. What do you think?" I said this while Jason held me tight, and I looked at Jake the whole time. After a few seconds I looked up at Joy who was very teary and said, "I would be honoured to be Jake's grandmother. Jake it a beautiful name, you have been my other son for a long time, I wish I asked you to move in with me and Max a long time ago but hoped your mother would wake up." I said, "Jake Samual Lake is his full name Jason added Samual for my dad, and I hoped she woke up too but that is in the past and you were there for me anyways". We hugged and leaned on Jason's chest looking at Jake. Jason told me that at 9 he would introduce Jake to the pack. I was nervous about this but understood that if the pack was to protect him, they need to meet their future alpha.

Jason then carried me bridal style to our room to rest while Joy carried Jake. Jake would stay in our room for a few weeks and then move into his room. Joy put him in his crib next to myside of the bed. I looked at him put my head on the pillow and fell fast asleep.

Jason's pov (short)

Luke fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow Dr Sky said that he would be out for the night. Max popped in just after Luke fell asleep and was disappointed not to talk to him and congratulate him. Joy then said, "you can chat tomorrow" while giggling, because he pouted, I told him that he is welcome anytime. This he already knows but it is nice to say it he smiled and nodded. I told him the baby's name and he reacted the same way as both Luke and Joy. As in it is a beautiful name and the name Samual after Luke's dad. I took Jake to meet my dad his grandfather, who was ecstatic to meet his grandson and I told him his name "Jake Samual Lake" he was made up about the name and asked how Luke was doing? I talked to my dad for an hour. He walked with me to the pack house, we walked up to the first floor and addressed the pack. "I Jason Lake have a son Jake Samual Lake" I said, loudly they pack bowed their heads and mind linked "Welcome" a lot of them asked how Luke is? I then said "Alpha Luke is resting in bed and has strict orders to stay in bed for the next week. After that he will introduce our son to you as well". I let the pack take in his sent chatted for 20 minutes then made my way back to my mate. Who Max and Smithy was looking after while Joy joined the pack for the meeting and to talk with my dad. Both Max and Joy will be staying with the pack for the next couple of weeks to help out. I arrived and chatted with Max and Smithy for a bit before they left. I place Jake down in his crib and rocked it slightly and laid down next to Luke and thought to myself 'they are beautiful' then my wolf said, <we are so lucky with our mate and son> he was very happy and then sleep overtook me.
