Chapter 24: telling Max, Joy and My Godfather fun!

Luke pov

After a week to let the news sink in I knew I had to tell Max, Joy and my godfather which will be fun. Jason asked me would I like to tell them here or at their place, I said their place and then picked up the phone and called Joy. I asked can me and Jason come over to talk to them both and Joy said not a problem but also the sound of concern was in her voice. We arrived one hour later mainly for me to gather my thoughts and to settle my nerves which only lasted 5 minutes, at least Jason would be with me. We walked in after hugging Joy and Max, Max asked me "speedy are you ok?" and Joy looked at me with the same question. I said, "I have something to tell you, but I am super nervous and scared". Jason rubbed my back, and we sat down at the kitchen table. When Max and Joy joined us, I took a few deep breaths to try can calm down and so I can get the words out. "I don't really know what to say so I am just going to come out and say it. I am p...p...pregnant." I looked at the kitchen table and waited for then to talk. What seemed like hours past, but it was only 10 seconds. I looked up to look at them both and they were in shock. Joy was the first one to speak she said, "pregnant" I nodded and then she said "how do you feel about that" in a neutral tone. Nervously I said "h...honestly, I am excited but also scared and terrified I am only 18 and about to have a child, I don't know if I am ready or able to be a dad, or mum dad, hopefully you know what I mean. Plus, on a selfish note I would still like to go to college and study law". Saying that to someone else did make me feel that tiny bit better and it also allowed me to vent a little. Then Max said, "but are you happy?" this did surprise me Max being very mature then I said "yes I am" looking at Jason and I could see the relief in his eyes. Then Joy got up and motioned me to do the same and took me into a big hug and said "congratulations honey" in a happy voice. Max did the same but called me speedy, they also hugged Jason and we sat down and talked more. Joy said that if I needed her for anything she would help, and Max said the same. Being so nervous telling them and of their response, because they reacted so well and of their support, I broke down crying with happy tears. They all hugged me and allowed me to cry.

Jason's pov

After Luke cried with happy tears, he and Max went upstairs to his room to talk privately with him and also to lay down. I knew that joy wanted to speak to me privately too. When I heard Max's bedroom door closed, I turned to Joy and said, "he was super nervous telling you and Max about this". Joy then said, "I bet he was, honestly I am happy but both of you need to be ready to be parents". I nodded my head and said, "I know we do; I am happy to be a father as most wolves are, but I am worried about Luke, I do believe he will be a great dad, but it is getting him to believe it and except it, but because of his own dad dying and his mother turning on him it is going to be a journey for him". Joy just nodded and said, "sorry to pry but is this from mating?" I nodded and said, "as you know for the first time, I can't use protection..." Joy interrupted and finished my sentence for me "protection and the odds are super rare that Luke could get pregnant I know." Then out of fear I did ask "you would help him if he needed it won't your auntie?" Joy hugged me and said "of course, I will but not just him you as well all you have to do is ask". I whispered "thank you" to her still hugging with a tear in my eye.

20 minutes later Max came down on his own and said, "Speedy is sleeping on my bed, he is ok" looking at us both and continued "he is just wiped out". "Did you two manage talk before he slept?" I asked and he said "yes he told me what he told us down here and added that he would see if he could study at home in college or something and a bit more before he laid down on the bed and fell asleep in 10 seconds" then he looked at me and said "don't you dare say anything but he wants to talk to you about a baby sitter or nanny to help out" then stared at me. I held my hands up and said, "I won't say anything, I will let the subject come up or let Luke bring it up". Max was like his mum with the stare downs, dad always said that he was glad Joy and Max was on their side and I understand why.

I let Luke sleep for nearly an hour before waking him up, but before I did, I just looked at him I love watching him while he sleeps, he looks <beautiful> my wolf said, <you read my mind> I responded. We all went out to get something to eat also it gave Luke the opportunity to ask Joy questions. Which he did but one of the questions I was surprised about but 100% agreed with was "would you be the grandmother our child?" Joy was taken aback by this question and Luke said, "Joy you have been like my mum for a long time and Max it my brother and my best friend" Joy with a tear in her eye said "I would be honoured to be the grandmother and added a very young grandmother" we all giggled, and we both hugged her and thanked her.

Me and Luke went back to the apartment, and it was time for Luke to call his godfather. This was the call I was nervous about; Joy and Max I was 99.99% sure would react good but the godfather I didn't know. Luke was on the phone for nearly 45 minutes talking and I just sat their holding Luke and calming him down when he got nervous. Also because of my werewolf hearing I could hear the whole conversation that Luke was having. Luke ended the call by saying "thank you and love you Peter". Luke then breathed easier and said, "he was very shocked and surprised, but he reassured me that things would be ok. He told me that I would be in for a rough ride and also told me that he could arrange college so I can study at home and go to most lectures via the internet but might have to go into college one or two days a week, but we need to come up with a reason why, I told him, that we would think of something. He understood that it is super rare and also for the actual mating that you could not use protection but still said we should have took precautions, but overall was happy for us both he did say he would like to talk to you at some point but don't worry he won't hurt you," he said with a giggle "also he told me to tell you to come and visit in the next week or two to sort things and if I need his to call him night or day no matter what". Honestly, I was relieved when Luke told me what his godfather said, I tried not to show it but because of the bond he could tell. We sat there on the couch in each other's arm and talked until I heard him snore and carried my pup up to bed.
